TedLasso Posted 12 hours ago Posted 12 hours ago Based on my small experience, it seems like there's a lot more focus on being "good enough" for a woman as a guy. It's not even just a feeling, I've had people tell me to my face that I'd be lucky to have a girlfriend like XYZ or girls tell me to be more deserving of their time. I'm all for people knowing their worth, but it I've never been belittled like that by a guy. Is this a common thing, or do I just suck at finding good female partners? 1 3 1 1

shookspeare Posted 11 hours ago Posted 11 hours ago I often hear that men face unrealistic standards when it comes to dating women, but I regularly see beautiful women dating unfortunate-looking men so I'm not sure what to believe. I'm sure a good number of those men are wealthy but I have the impression that women are more forgiving than gay men when it comes to looks. Regardless, dating sucks for everyone, gay or straight 2 4

Mtjjproducer Posted 11 hours ago Posted 11 hours ago (edited) Yes. A lot of women won't date a bi guy cause they think we'll cheat on them even though most of their straight partners already cheat on them. Especially hard to date black women because of that and the fear of hiv. Which considering that black women have a higher rate of hiv from a partner I can understand them being afraid of that. men are easier because there are way less games when it comes to two guys dating. If I guy wants to just hookup or be in a relationship they will be upfront about it with me. Women will try and play games even though they just want a fling or if they want a relationship play harder to get to get you to chance them. Physically I find men slightly more attractive but I do have better long term relationships with women. I could settle down with either. I have had success with bi couples who are looking for a third. Seem to be fit for me personally Edited 11 hours ago by Mtjjproducer 4 1

Digitalism Posted 11 hours ago Posted 11 hours ago I always see straight men that do the bare minimum dating women that are far more attractive and competent than them 1

JoeAg Posted 10 hours ago Posted 10 hours ago i've never had a relationship with anyone, regardless of gender, that could be characterized as "not complicated" 1
Trent W Posted 10 hours ago Posted 10 hours ago Yes dating women is a nightmare It was not bad a few years ago but it has gotten so bad in the last few years Internet content has rotten the dating scene in heterosexual relationships I think I have a bigger shot at having a LTR with a male than with a woman, it was the other way around by a long chance a few years ago. It has gotten so difficult lately. 1 1 3

fememeist Posted 10 hours ago Posted 10 hours ago Usually but same sex relationships still come with a great deal of complications too

I could settle down with either. This is very much me. I feel that the male form is aesthetically superior to the female form (personally I find this to be an objective truth, but that's another conversation), however my relationships with women have been healthier and longer-lasting. LikeATattoo Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago I'll say that no woman in my dating history has ever made me feel negatively about my body/looks, while no man in my dating history has ever made me feel negatively about my finances lol. Make of that what you will. 2
Kiss It Better Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago no same sex relationships are way more complicated 1
Cain Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago I'm not bi but looking at and hearing my friends in both gay and straight relationships it just seems complicated no matter what For different reasons tho, I will say my friends in gay relationships seem to be more upfront about their (sexual) wishes and desires with their partner and a lot of my straight friends seem to have a hard time with that
Johnny Jacobs Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago (edited) I've been with both. I dated in high school and she was really sweet. I can tell you from someone who have only straight male friends. Some of them are happily married, some were happy but now they're miserable. Some are singles cause they can't find the one. In my opinion, it has nothing to do with dating a man or a woman. It all comes down to the person's personality. Some women are kind and some aren't. Same goes for men. I get your point as there are many women that wants a "proper" guy. A nice job, hot, rich... I get it. It's the reality. I have friends that went on dates that went well but never got a second one because they don't make enough money/a nice job. But gay relationship has its downsides too. Different ones. Bottom line... It all comes down to the person itself, not their gender. It's not easy finding a decent partner, but it's not impossible. Trust me, i know. Just be patient and dont settle. Many people do and it sucks Edited 3 hours ago by Johnny Jacobs 1
Prodigal Self Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago I've only ever dated one dude and not only got cheated on for the first time in my life (that I know of anyway. got me thinking about it for a good while) but he also contracted HIV somewhere and I spent a couple of months thinking I've got it too and boy was that bad. Obviously not a universal experience but Much more complicated than anything I've been through before. 1
