Which one do you prefer for backyard access and why?

 

Do you consider one more traditional or modern than the other?

i'm a sliding door girl. but i also think it depends if there's a back porch or not. i feel like a swinging door would be better if they open onto a porch

If you have the space, swinging doors are aesthetically better imo. Plus there are way better options for window treatments (assuming you have windows on them). If space is an issue then sliding is the better option.

Sliding doors are probably more modern, but as most modern home design it's kind of boring most times.

Swinging doors have more charm imo especially if you have the space for them.
