As someone who collects all of Taylor's variants (provided there's different covers), I am dreading each release because of how much I have to spend on vinyl and CDs.

 

She's had 3 1m+ debuts since 𝔯𝔢𝔭𝔲𝔱𝔞𝔱𝔦𝔬𝔫 in 2017, but that's also thanks to all the variants and double drops. When the album has one variant, it never surpasses that figure.

 

so is taylor reliant on multiple variants now? Could she do it with just one?

You can't listen to photo books on streaming services. People don't buy physical music because of that, so the book comparison is not right

She did this for reputation which had a couple CD variants at Target and she still hit 1M.
