Lmfao i said its only only time until one of yall say this

Plantation Barbie really knew the strings to pull to get yall back on her side. Yall are that predictable

Have you read that New York Times piece? The agency Baldoni used pulled all the stops in trying to bury her, and they said as much in the unveiled texts. That Flaa interview — which was already like 10 years old at the time she posted it — was IMPECCABLY well-timed to receive maximal attention. This is hardly a reach.

A movie about domestic and psychological abuses where the lead and director is a sexual predator and the female lead is vapid and egocentric

Really one of the worst scenario in the industry lately, sadly.

Please re-read what you wrote because it sounds like an Onion headline making fun of misogynistic false equivalences :deadbanana4:

Going through the thread and oh my GOD you guys are really ******* embarrassing

"But she's annoying!!!"

"But she's a nepo baby!!!"

"Why didn't she sue him earlier!!!"

"Why did nobody else sue him for this!!!"

"Ryan Reynolds is behind this!!!"

"She's just bitter!!!"

"She's using PR as well so she's equally in the wrong!!!"

This is lowkey serving victim blaming 101 :deadbanana4:

If I remember correctly when the thread was first posted it was just the TMZ newsalert and mostly focused on Blake suing over defamation. Given what everyone thought they knew about the situation (that is, before it came out that so much of the tide of public opinion against her was completely artificial), I don't think it would have been such a reach to think that this was just sour grapes on Blake's end for having been made out to be the Internet's biggest villain for like three or four days during her own movie's promotional cycle.

The more salacious details about the case only started to trickle out in the subsequent hours.

She still did the interviews and the terrible movie campaign by herself, she IS annoying. Put Justin behind bars or end his career if he deserves it, it's not gonna make us like her personally or support her career.

Absolutely disgusting. Blake Lively might not be the kindest person, but nobody deserves be treated like this. The sexual harassment, the smear campaign..genuinely it's so scary how easy it is to get everyone to hate a woman. I thought we already grew up from this after 2016, but I guess not.

Atrlers are misogynistic by nature and I don't expect them to ever grow from it, but the most damning thing about the lawsuit is the fact that Justin admitted to having sex with multiple women without their consent and sexually assaulted an actress and a producer on this movie. If any one of these victims speaks out, it's over for him for good.

The New York Times article makes note of the fact that the lighthearted, arguably vapid tone Blake adopted in the interviews was the studio's idea:

The official promotion plan instructed the cast to focus more on the uplifting aspects of the movie than on abuse, and to embrace a floral theme (her character has a flower shop). In several appearances, she never made reference to domestic violence at all. And she faced criticism when her Betty Booze beverage company was promoting the film, given the role alcohol can play in abusive relationships.

Seeing that blowback, the text messages show, Mr. Baldoni and his P.R. team decided instead to highlight survivors of domestic violence in his interviews and social media.

There's totally valid reasons not to like her but imo nothing directly related to this film or its promotional campaign warranted any of the blowback she received.
