I had no idea the "fairest of them all" was about fair skin 1

It never crossed my mind that "fairest" was meant to be taken literally or that there were supremacy undertones at all.

I can't believe this is the final product after decades of hype and legacy. The Lord Farquaad hair instantly ruins the entire movie 1
livelikemusic Posted Monday at 04:18 AM Posted Monday at 04:18 AM The more I see the less I'm into it, honestly... the environment (a.k.a. the sets) look nice, but... that's about it.
MatiRod Posted Monday at 09:58 AM Posted Monday at 09:58 AM Charlize as the evil queen completely ate up Gal Gadot

From the DEI magical creatures cancellation, to Peter Dinklage saying that casting little people as DWARVES was problematic, to Rachel saying that the original Snow White prince was weird and a stalker, and of course the far leftists coming in to save the day by calling any criticism of the movie racist, I CANT WAIT for this movie to flop. It's like why did they even associate with these people that seem to HATE the original movie (including the production team)? Their stench has DESTROYED it. who the f upvoting this!? Oh... all the usual suspects I see 2

How the sentence 'who's the fairiest of them all' can refer to skin color? Like who's got the whitest skin or lightest skin? Is this correct? If it is, then it's the first time I'm hearing this, and I'm pretty shocked I'm finding out now
Odette Violet Posted 23 hours ago Posted 23 hours ago don't care about anyone's opinions I'm pretty seated with this movie

If it is, then it's the first time I'm hearing this, and I'm pretty shocked I'm finding out now There are multiple definitions of 'fair', so the 'fairest' could relate to the most beautiful or the lightest complexion. Realistically, the term in this context refers to the "most beautiful". But then again, in the film they explicitly refer to her skin colour as 'white as snow'. So... 1
