I mean she loves making us look like fools, like it's not our fault she said it's a standalone single   Then again she was probably scared liddos would fume she is releasing a ballad as LG7 lead single. And it was likely Interscope's wish. 

  

I guess it's for the best, cuz leaving such a huge smash as a standalone would also be weird

Kinda confusing, but I don't see a problem with it when it fits with the album's overall vision. Plus I don't think Lady Gaga ever specified that "Die With A Smile" would not be on her album.
