Her solo career was such a missed opportunity.

It's bad. She should've worked with Missy again. I think that sound suited her. Even the cover of Word Up was good and that was Timbaland. I read she didn't invite Missy to her wedding and Missy was upset so that was most likely the end of any possibility of another collab.

unfortunately she went from one abusive guy to another ending up with addiction and constant abuse.

Mel B made an amazing r&b album in 2000. Check it out. It's called Hot. She hired Janet's producers and Darkchild to make it. Sounds incredible and really holds up today. 
 

she should have kept going. Her voice is one of a kind
