110%. Everybody is supposed to feel safe in work, so it's completely unacceptable he behaved in that way. I'd contact HR and include your supervisor, especially as they witnessed his behaviour.

hiiiii similar has happened to me before

 

demand the cctv footage, make a detailed word document of what happened while it's fresh in ur mind, send to HR and raise a grievance (idk if it's called the same thing outside of the UK but basically an official formal complaint)

 

if ur feeling real feisty maybe pop in there that u believe it could be homophobia-driven, finish him off x

The place I work at though is kinda crappy when it comes to this stuff. All he said was "okay, so are you coming back for your morning shift then". I literally was just gonna let it go but man….its making me not even wanna go back to my job 

Damn so ur supervisor witnessed this and ur manager brushed it off. Sounds like they should all be fired.

In my workplace this is a fireable offense (obviously) but there must be thorough evidence/witnesses. And typically it's a long process of collecting receipts and accounts. Not sure how "compelling" the evidence must be at your job, to justify a firing, BUT if his tantrum is not sufficient and you want to be reallyyyyy petty, set him up. You probably know the right button to push, get that iPhone ready and let it rip. Only if it is safe to do so, of course. This man sounds unstable so he'll fall right into your trap. 
 

This is easier done in writing as well if you exchange words via email/chat.
