Mr. Blue_Shirt Posted Friday at 06:06 PM Posted Friday at 06:06 PM The way US Supreme Court would rather ban TikTok than stop child slavery 3
Marianah Adkins Posted Friday at 06:16 PM Posted Friday at 06:16 PM Damn even Kagan and Sotomayor voted in favor of the ban lol
St. Charles Posted Friday at 06:20 PM Posted Friday at 06:20 PM What about the fact that ByteDance is threatening to pull out of the US anyways?

Makes me think it's better for them to just not sell it. I get that all other social media platforms are already owned by billionaires, but this seems so dystopian. 3
Vermillion Posted Friday at 07:35 PM Author Posted Friday at 07:35 PM So if this is the case, why can't we see the intelligence Tom Cotton's so desperate to act on? Unless it's political? No, it couldn't be. 1 1
GiselleBeyince Posted Friday at 07:44 PM Posted Friday at 07:44 PM I just love how the inept Democrats seem to always find a way to get owned. Trump and the Republicans started the TikTok ban in 2020. Never could get it to pass. Yet, in 2024, the Dems were finally convinced by Israel w/ their blood money to pass the bill and get the app shut down. Now, Trump will come in, undo the ban, and take all the credit. The same move he pulled w/ the ceasefire. I need the Democratic Party to get real and realize that supporting the Zionist state has brought the party to its knees. 14

KingWitch Posted yesterday at 09:15 AM Posted yesterday at 09:15 AM I have a feeling this is the end of tiktok ,the thing is they obviously don't want to sell and the law says the only way they continue is if they sell or are working on a deal to sell . Anyway it's time for YouTube shorts to shine

It's harrowing to think about. Having worked on the TikTok platform, all of the idiots saying that it's just the end of influencers or ratata are missing how drastically it's already impacting both regular people and small businesses for the sake of optics. Corporate is largely being pushed towards AI offboarding jobs to deepen the wealth gap. These people do not care about data and have routinely utilized it to their own gain to deceive people and make them more radicalized against their neighbors rather than asking anyone with any power to do something. No one in their right mind can see the alignment of the super billionaires with Trump and not think that they've clocked that controlling social media is how they can run unchecked without any resistance. The fact that Democrats will have the nerve to act like knights in shining armor when they've largely been complicit in this forming and pretty much gave this regime a slam dunk to indoctrinate and divide people further is truly infuriating. 2

Domination Posted yesterday at 05:56 PM Posted yesterday at 05:56 PM (edited) Seeing people complaining about the Supreme Court ruling—please learn the function of the Supreme Court. Hint: It's not legislating! I hope it does get banned, tbh. Not because I think it poses an acute security risk or "exposes the truth!!1!" but at this point the overreactions to the ban and the way everybody is acting like addicts about to get cut off is shameful. It's clearly unhealthy and we need to start going after Facebook/Instagram as well. Edited yesterday at 05:56 PM by Domination 3 1 2

I really do feel like it's the most important social media app of today and not just cuz it's the most popular, it just feels a bit different, like it plays a big role in the awakening of the people. The entire Western world shifting to right wing populism is the awakening of the people? 1 1
RoseBud Posted yesterday at 06:14 PM Posted yesterday at 06:14 PM Trump will be lining his pockets with this as he always does. I believe his scheme has been in place for quite awhile now. 1
