Trump proposed it originally during Covid (2020) before it died down then was rebooted during an election season (2023/4) by AIPAC/ADL mad about the difference in Israel/Palestine support on TikTok (and competing telecom companies, to be fair).

 

Because it was an election year and Biden's a Zionist that believes Israel's a vassal U.S. state, Biden signed the bill.

 

Then, Trump reversed course because his big Truth Social stakeholder billionaire Jeff Yaas lobbied him on behalf of TikTok.

 

Now post-loss and with the data out on the millions of millennials and Gen Z that stayed home because of Gaza and the level of backlash amongst other younger demos Dems used to care to target, Biden reverses course and pretends he had little to do with it.

 

Even though Trump doesn't give a **** about Israel or Palestine or TikTok, he's still getting credit by Israel and TikTok in the end despite TikTok's plans to still go dark after 90 days because nothing's changing with divestment.
