Yeah, they should fight this decision. Otherwise might as well ban every song made since the days of Mozart and Beethoven. There's been some ugly copyright cases in recent years.

The lawsuit is being processed through the Rio de Janeiro courts for copyright and intellectual property violations. The company's lawyers explain, according to Ancelmo Gois' column for O Globo, that: "the similarities between the two works are essentially due to the fact that several songs use a musical cliché known as Chord Progression by the Circle of Fifths."
