Nope, cohesion is a necessary quality for an album to be good. She only had it in her debut (and Chromatica too, I suppose), hence why she's never gotten a universally critically acclaimed album.

Critical acclaim means very little outside the stan bubble.

She still has some of the best albums of all time. Especially BTW - her most diverse one.

Not sure if it's an unpopular opinion, but her Jazz eras would be way more exciting if they weren't mostly covers. It's not the genre but the fact she's singing someone else's songs. I trust the album will be good if it comes from her; Happy Mistake and Folie à Deux were amazing.
