VeniceBeach Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago Gaga's new album is on the way and she's starting to share more details about it, and her words about many different genres are intriguing. Considering she worked on Harlequin and LG7 around the same time can we expect one or a few jazzy songs? Are you here for it? What other genres do you want to hear? Discuss Β 1
Kayseri Mantisi Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago We love an iconic legend who can drop one album and effortlessly serve future, past, and present vibes while genre-hopping like it's light work, all wrapped up in a timeless, cohesive masterpieceβtruly an unmatched artist! 1
Roberto Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago (edited) Probably.Β When she serves a catchy jazz song like "Oh When The Saints", then what? Edited 4 hours ago by Roberto

l3disko Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago Sadly I fear it will be a Harelquin-esque mess. Β and the snippets she played are the only dark bops
Hector Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago The minute she said that, I thought "Die With A Smile will be on the album".Β 1 3
Florence Belch Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago I think what she means is her vocal delivery being inspired by many different genres, since she's indirectly confirmed the album to be mostly electro-pop in the RS interviewΒ Β 1
Colmillo Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago Actually most of LG7 is jazz, only Disease and the Abel collabs are dark bawps, she told me that herself. 1
ATRL Moderator MissedTheTrain Posted 3 hours ago ATRL Moderator Posted 3 hours ago Highly doubt it, at least I hope not. Β I'd like to think Harlequin was a way for to get that stuff out of her system for now Β 1

Mariano Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago She said some songs are inspired by Bowie / Queen and when they posted pictures from the studio there was a Prince photo in there, so that's probably what she means.Β She already released Harlequin so I don't think there'll be any jazz inspired songs on the record, neither would they fit with Disease.Β

Loca Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago Can't she just put out a cohesive body of work? She hasn't been able to since her debut 1
Mariano Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago 2 minutes ago, KillingYourCareer said: The GP will want to buy the album that contains Die with a Smile... it'd be a smart move A lot of people who like DWAS would be scared off by Disease both song and visuals. Disease is a fantastic song, but u get my point, it's not for everyone, especially the average gp member. Also I'm pretty sure LG7 physicals have been sent to print for awhile now, DWAS has been smashing for months true, but it only has become this gigantic song in recent weeks/months and all in all Gaga has a clear vision for LG7 and its sound and I don't think that includes DWAS, hence why they released it early. I would be surprised if they do. Moreover, by the time LG7 is out, DWAS will have definitely declined (if not - that would be insane) and wouldn't have a big effect on her album, other than streams ofc. Maybe if Interscope gets desperate they could latch it onto the album only on streaming, but I really don't see it. Interscope doesn't do stuff like that, they did not even release a sped up verison of Bloody Mary Β

She hasn't been able to since her debut Ignoring the fact that you lied and the fact that she has multiple cohesive albums, why should she? Β Cohesive doesn't automatically mean good and I'd much rather have a diverse record. Her best album is BTW which also happens to be her most diverse record. Bfr.Β 1 1
