Selena and Ariana both have Oscar buzz this season while Lady Gaga has already been nominated once and could likely do it again with another film. Who's more likely to join next?

Ariana has two chances in 2025 and 2026, and she will probably be a frontrunner in both.

 

Selena might get a nod next year, but she'd be the less likely to win if she got in.

 

Gaga is not getting nominated any time soon.

Ariana is the most likely, next year. Even with the fact that she's been sweeping the regionals i still think Zoe is the front-runner cuz Oscar now is a little more global and Emilia Perez always sweep european awards. 

But she does have a big chance ofc so Ariana is the correct answer. 

 

Selena is building a very solid and actually underrated acting career tho, Emilia Perez is a kind of role that get u new roles u know what i mean?

to build a long-term career those roles are better than big franchises like a marvel movie for example, It's challenging and very different from her persona. Also helps that her network has been chef-kiss, she's meeting every director during this Oscar campaign.

On top of that, the Cannes Winner actress is constantly being nominated on all award shows for her acting in OMITB (double nom at the golden globes supporting and TV nom, got a Satellite nom today for OMITB - have already won one, and the list goes on)

So if Selena keeps focusing on acting her future seems VERY bright... she picks different roles and they seem to be what critics like, both her movie and her tv show got critics attention. They're not quick little streaming hits, they're critics faves.. She's building up a respectable acting career perfectly. This decade has been and can be even more amazing for her in the acting world. 

 

I think Gaga will focus on music again the next couple years so idk about her. She's great and already got a deserved nom for ASIB tho.

Ariana is close to win for Wicked.

Gaga might win someday for remake of popular musical like Cabaret or Sound of Music.

Ariana can actually win this year for BSA and potentially next year too for Best Original Song if she helps write/produce the rumored new Glinda song for Wicked part 2.

The three of them will at some point. I think right now, Ariana is the one with the biggest possibilities. Selena next and then Gaga. 

 

If Ariana doesn't win with Wicked, Selena will be the one with the biggest chances then in a near future because she's mainly focused on acting unlike the other two, and it's a matter of time before she gets another big role like Emilia Pérez where she isn't overshadowed by a co-star.

Gaga is a leading lady and lead actress oscar is much harder to win. She would've easily won BSA by now if she competed in BSA with her breakthrough roles. 

 

Ariana has big chanceto win this year so her I guess.

Selena is lucky that Emilia Perez is such a hit she's getting swept up in the love for it; her performance was really not that great, especially in comparison to Zoe. That said, even if she does manage a nomination, she's not going to win and based on what we've seen thus far, her "skills" are severely limited. Ariana has the best chance at winning this year and potentially next year depending on Wicked Pt 2's reception and what the competition is like, but if not she definitely has a foot in the door. Gaga could easily be a threat to win an acting trophy if she picked better scripts, or one where her character was the undeniable focus. ASIB, HoG and JFAD all sidelined her to varying degrees in favor of her co-stars.

I dont want to start anything cuz this thread is surprisingly chill until now. But i mean.. was Selena also lucky with Only Murders in The Building? Thats so much luck for anyone.. OMITB is the only show and Emília Pérez is the only movie she did since she's started truly focusing on acting in 2021. Both acclaimed and getting her some acting noms and wins (OMITB). Even if it was someone i disliked i think i would give this person some credit..
