Well, given that the LGBT+ community is supposed to be a place free of judgement given how the community is often ostracized, why does it sometimes feel that the very same community has some prejudices against those who don't fill the status quo?

I've always felt like the like cliquey, catty gays are a vocal minority. By their very definition they're exclusive and most people don't fit into their ideal body type and appearance. Most of my interactions with gays offline + outside of the "scene" have been perfectly fine

There are studies that show that men are much more superficial than women when it comes to physical attraction. And women have a subconscious bias to prefer "providers" that they can depend on. Idk why being choosy is seen as a bad thing, we all are in 1 way or another
