Male popstars are allergic to serving most of the times. The Weeknd (After Hours) and Justin Bieber (Purpose) were like the last two great male popstar eras, and the latter was already bored enough to be skipping his own music videos a few months in, and then proceeded to phone in his tour routines before he ended up cancelling it anyways.

 

They do tend to release good music tho, they just make the overall experience extremely boring.

I love boybands like Blue, Backstreet Boys, TXT... Solo pop boys simply have boring music/not my taste. I tried listening to Bruno, Weeknd, Justin Bieber, etc. but just couldn't get into most of their music.

I have no aversion to listening to male artists who make pop music but I can't think of any out rn who are any good, and the only khias I get recommended are women.

He's quietly been one of the most influential Hyperpop/Glitch pop artists of the decade. He has sons in that realm lol. Might not be to everyones taste but I love his last album. He's bisexual too and it's a common theme in his music.

Because what is there to stan right now? It's not like when MJ, George Michael, Prince, Bowie, Freddie, etc. were all SERVING. Even peak JT and Usher more than kept up with the girls. 

 

I like Troye and Weeknd a fair amount and give them props, and Bruno's good but a touch corny for me. I have enough respect for myself to not stan JB, Styles, Boone, Malone, Kid Laroi, Sheeran, Mendes, Puth, etc.
