poll Most irrationally hated "Pop" girl?

For some reason (or in certain cases for GREAT reasons) the Gee Pee has decided to hate on a handful of pop girls. They go for multiple eras flopping, and no matter what glimmer of a comeback, it seems they can do no right in the public's eyes. There are others that can be added to the list, however, I would argue for these six girlies, the hate trains have been the most unrelenting. (Don't get me wrong, I like all of them and listen to their music, I am not a hater! However,) let's resolve this for once and for all: Who is the most hated? Who deserves the hate they receive the MOST? And who is the most misunderstood?

Most Deserved: Katy

Undeserving: Halsey or Demi (well technically all except Katy, Kim or Nicki). People always cite them being "annoying" as a reason to dislike them but if we were hating people for the sole purpose of being annoying, then we would all be in trouble

This. Like, I understand why you would hold her to this, but if you're not going to hold other people accountable too, then it's literally just transparent and performative bc why do you hate camila but stan trisha paytas

Halsey?? From what I know she hasn't associated herself with problematic ppl or has said anything that could be harmful to minorities. Her lyrics are cringy at times but that doesn't justify the negativity I see thrown her way. Demi too. Her "scandals" are somewhat funny and she doesn't seem like a malicious person at all.

Before Woman's World, I think this would have been a very different list.

Before that, it would have had Nicki and Camila higher than Katy.

 

Currently, I would say: Katy > Nicki > Halsey > Camila > Halsey > Demi

Most deserved: Nicki

Least deserved: Halsey

I'd say Camila is the most hated. Nicki deserves it the most for being a truly terrible person. Halsey deserves it the least, she's not really done anything wrong, she's just kinda annoying (a bit like Camila minus the racism).

 

I think the only two (other than Nicki) from this list who deserve it are Kim and Katy for their Lukas Gottwald associations

I'd add JLO because I still don't understand what happened with her online this year, is it really just because of her diva-ness and supposed inauthenticity?

 

I think thankfully people have changed their minds on Halsey and she's viewed with some artistic credibility nowadays after releasing two critically acclaimed albums in a row now. Camila's hate is irritating for the most part because half of the stuff they accuse her of is based on fabricated screenshots from messy 5H fans from 10+ years ago, and she seems to be genuinely liked amongst her peers and the industry based on the connections and collaborations she can get despite her image online and decreasing success.

Halsey and Demi by far. I don't really recall any reason why Halsey should be so hated. As for Demi, most of her scandals are so silly it's actually laughable how they make people infuriate the way they do. Like the singing to ghosts scandal... people were acting as if she were killing innocent people or something. The girl was just singing to ghosts for a fun moment in a TV show. It was never that serious.
