Another pitbull thread? Y'all are weirdos.

This is a rare occurrence that seems to be happening all the time only because the media always reports it. Notice how they always report it when it's a pitbull and never when it's a different breed. And don't even get me started on how most of these incidents are actually mixed breeds and the media misreports.

If you cannot train your dogs properly, you shouldn't have them. Dogs often have many signs of aggression before something like this would ever occur.

That's because even if you have a well trained XL if it has a bad day you could lose your life or someone else could, they are built for aggression. No one is reporting yorkshire terrier attacks or poodle attacks because they aren't killing people maybe? :deadbanana2:

Stating the insanely obvious about people not owning them if they can't train them isn't going to bring back the number of people the breed has killed so save it. Get another breed they are hideous anyway.

At least it's the owner and not someone else. Best believe, he would've been defending his dogs if it was someone else.

I'm all in for dogs but I'm scared shitless of pitbulls and rottweilers. I don't think those breeds are "dangerous" per see but not everyone should be allowed to take care of them... Like most of the time dogs (not only those breeds) get agressive because of how their owners treat them, and breeds like pitbulls and rottweilers become more dangerous in scenarios like these because of their build etc.

I mean these dogs are literally called XL Bullies, they're not made for cuddles and playing fetch...

Maybe we should stop breeding these ones since they're clearly not appropriate to be owned as pets.

Killer cat: Pet owner dies after being clawed to death by his cat

A cat has scratched his owner to death after he tried to stop it running away.

November 28, 2024

Let's not be dishonest here, the cat did not scratch and attack his owner to death. The cat scratched his owner 1 time, like all cats do,although a deep scratch, and the owner had a medical condition that didn't allow his body to form blood clots so he was unable to stop the bleeding and died because of his medical condition, not the cat. It's entirely different to the dog situation imo.

It's never the dog's fault

But definitely there needs to be some regulations

These breeds should be considered like weapons

Meaning not everyone should have access to one

I was obviously referring to other large breed dogs such as German Shepherds?

"XL Bully" is barely even a breed. It's a pit/bulldog cross apparently.

I had a bulldog and he was the sweetest dog in the world. Many people would have called him a 'pitbull' only because of the way he looked. But he wasn't, and he was never aggressive.

Training, both for the dogs and for the owners is very important and how you prevent freak accidents like these.

It's the humans, not the dogs. Also, you are literally more statistically likely to die from an insect bite (104) than a dog bite (43).

Thank god these things are banned where I live

That poor man and that poor kid..

Pitbulls should be banned. There's no place for such a creature in people's homes and on the streets. I don't care if yours was a huge sweetheart and cuddled with kids, they've been bred to kill and maul things no matter what and it's not a risk worth taking.

Because a reddit thread from a sub called BanPitbulls is more reliable than actual CDC statistics... Got it :bibliahh:

Experts literally agree that breed specific bans are useless. If y'all actually cared about people's safety, you would listen to the experts. Funny how y'all can do this when it's other issues, but as soon as it's an issue you can't be bothered researching, or an issue you have a heavy emotional reaction too, it's like all facts go down the toilet no matter how relevant they are.

Facts don't care about your feelings. Accept it and move on, and quit advocating for **** you don't even understand.

Pitbull owners are such scum. Imagine bringing THAT near a playground... Glad the kids are physically ok!

Posted

Pit bulls are notorious for being docile sweethearts until they fully mature around 2-3years old which is when they switch and start mauling people out of the blue. They need to be banned.

People who advocate for owning violent breeds are psychopaths. These animals are bred for their violent tendencies and do not belong in a family home. It's undignified and cruel to the animal to treat them as serotonin slaves that ultimately causes them to display aggressive behavior.

Can't stand the trend that began a few years ago to try and sanitize the image of these types of dogs in the name of progressivism as if it is virtuous. The true progressive position is that animals should generally not be kept as pets at all, especially if their needs cannot be met.
