Florence Belch Posted December 10 Posted December 10 I kinda envy all your bosses: mine was such a sociopathic ass-ole that two employers had to go through psychiatric drugs in order to bare the job environment, since they couldn't find no other job Leaving that place three years ago was the best decision of my life, I still don't know how he hasn't been reported yet for mobbing ffs 2

Oktober Knight Posted December 11 Posted December 11 I can honestly say I have the best supervisor that I'll probably ever have in my lifetime. She's supportive, fair, polite, and let's us be free to be ourselves. We can all embrace our dark sense of humour and use all the profanity we want. I actually do have a lot of fun at work most days. 1
Gladiator Posted December 11 Posted December 11 My direct manager I get along really well with, especially after he stopped trying to insert himself into my work. The rest of the leadership and those above him at my job I simply tolerate. 1
chromatico Posted December 11 Posted December 11 I've never met them and probably never will (I work remotely) 1
Elementary Posted December 13 Posted December 13 I used to care about getting along with my direct manager. Not anymore. They couldn't care less about you and would turn on you at any second if it's convenient to them. 1
Cheers Posted December 13 Posted December 13 Amazing and flexible. I'll never have such a flexible supervisor in my life again Shes retiring in 8 months and hopefully I get her position 1
Invisibility Posted December 13 Posted December 13 My boss is very supportive, continuously pushes for me to learn and achieve more, and she has had an overall great impact on my professional growth plus she likes to kiki about our higher ups 1
The Music Industry Posted December 13 Posted December 13 (edited) Both my manager and my director are two of my best friends. Long story short, when I started at my job just over 3 years ago, my director was not even managerial position yet. She was just a senior advisor while I was a junior/intern, so we bonded as normal coworkers over shared interests (including Taylor nnnn). Then when she became a manager at first, we hired a new girl as senior advisor and we immediately clicked with her and became an inseparable trio within our bigger team. When our old director unexpectedly left, my manager became the director, and the senior advisor became acting manager just last month. And now I'm becoming the senior advisor. We love a domino effect! We have lunch all the time together in the office, gossip together, talk/text outside of work every day, meet up outside of work to go to bars and what not. I really love it. It's amazing what 2 millennial women and a gay can accomplish together Edited December 13 by The Music Industry 1
The Closer Posted December 13 Posted December 13 I work in a restaurant as a server and my GM is a POS. Loves to make racist, sexist, homophobic, and body shaming comments. I've reported him to HR of the parent company with multiple dates, examples, witnesses, etc. and they did nothing but give him a slap on the wrist after getting back to me 2 months later. Now he just hides it better. I only stay because I make great money and get the schedule I want as well as my 8-10 weeks off a year. 1
