As it says, what's your relationship like with your boss?

or even the CEO / COO / CFO of the company if you see them regularly?

My boss is great. We get on really well, super supportive, helped me get a promotion and she tells me all the gossip about higher ups

He is a really nice, chill guy who is really open to communication. I also met his daughters and they are also very nice. He smokes too much though

The current one is actually pretty great and easy to talk to. It's sad how this job is very boring that I'm planning to move out next year because the working environment is actually pretty healthy, but I need to work on something that excites me a bit more (and I also want to leave this city as well)

She gets on everyone's nerves and when new hires hear about her from employees they get scared off of the job.

friendly and professional

my previous line manager (same job, but in a different area) was also super supportive and pushed for my transfer because she knew it would be good for me even though losing a member of staff wasn't good for her. a real leader develops and helps their employees imo

completely different from my previous job which my boss would call me useless, force people to work on rest days and would drag me for getting sick :biblio:

well I have my direct boss, and then I have my boss's boss who's the regional manager of the concierges at all of the company's properties in Denver

my direct boss is cool as f*ck

Spoiler

and only 25 lol (I'm about to turn 28 in less than a month!) he's a twink who's a STEM major and he has a twink boyfriend who's also cool. him and I actually had seen each other in our underwear before he became my boss (we went to an underwear night and met up with each other and a resident of ours who DJs around town who we're also close friends with). after he leaves (he undoubtedly would love to get a job after he graduates that would utilize his major better lol) I do think that I'm the concierge he'd choose to take his place! :giraffe:

my boss's boss… haven't met him in person yet but he seems somewhat nice

Spoiler

albeit a bit clueless! he's in his mid-40s and was a manager for another hospitality company before ours. he's in charge of the raises, and I'm annoyed cause he actually stiffed me :biblio: I had asked about a raise after finding out that newer hires at our property had started at a higher wage than I had started/have been consistently paid at. the last time he answered my texts were on a day when my morning relief was 3 hours late and he had been confused as to why I was still clocked in on ADP. after I explained everything, he thanked me and told me that he was working on raises for me and my morning relief. but I've asked him a few times over text since then and he just hasn't responded. on one hand, it's kinda funny, cause everytime I clock out late now I wonder if he WANTS to ask why I haven't clocked out on time, but then he'd have to address my queries :deadbanana4: and I didn't find out until my direct boss told me that that morning relief of mine and I are only able to get our raises after the new year! so it's annoying that the big boss neglected to disclose that information to me, but I'm not gonna write him off forever for it. my morning relief smartly got herself a second job, but i'm fine with just the one for now. additionally though, the big boss really doesn't know anything about our property and doesn't know how above and beyond I go… so i'm a bit ambivalent about him at the moment

I work in graphic design for a major corporation and he is genuinely pretty great. He's understanding, supportive, and kind. He keeps things professional but in a friendly manner where he attempts to know us on a semi-personal way as well. We're a small team of only 5 (including him), so everything flows smoothly most of the time.

When I first got the job, my direct boss was only two years older than me and I thought he was hot af. With him, he helped everyone with anything we needed and we got done early quite often and he would leave the same time the rest of us did. But after more than a year he resigned because he was being creepy to my girl bestie who is a year older than me and his boss had talked to him about it etc. His last day was the day before Halloween 2022 or 2023 and I was crushed 😔 (but glad that now my bestie was free and away from him)

Now his replacement is a girl a year younger than me and she had the absolute NERVE to print out a sheet on how I need to do my job on her third day. 🥴🥴🥴🥴 She's also really ******* slow with anything and initially did nothing but literally stand at the computer on her phone. She also doesn't leave until two hours after the rest of us get off. Her boss and TWO of the floor managers had to literally yell at her to do anything. Not a single one of us likes her. One of those two floor managers would literally say no to her if she wanted any of the floor managers to help out in our area because the new girl wouldn't do anything.

Yes he was creepy to my bestie, but everyone, even she, missed him because of the new girl. Should also note that my bestie also yelled at the new girl about how she thinks it's not her job to be quick, it's ours job lol

I'm probably missing some info etcbut oh well

On ATRL: We get along great. Joe is really nice and gives us (Lee and I) carte

blanche to run ATRL as we see fit.

In my career: My department directors were amazing. They were very encouraging and supportive of me taking classes and things to get certifications and whatnot. My immediate supervisor as a nasty hater who didn’t like that I was moving up. She was behind the situation that led to me being illegally fired while out on medical leave. Long story short, I challenged the termination, won my job back, got compensated and as of last week got a new promotion in a new department. I’m very pleased.

She's super chill and gives me a lot of flexibility (schedule, quota, etc.); we used to go to lunch together in the office before she became my manager. My only complaint is something she can't really control: she is extremely monotone, so she always sounds completely disinterested in whatever she's talking about nnn, but she's very nice. :gaycat4:

My direct boss I report to is very kind, easily approachable and fun to work with. She's very encouraging of the team and gives feedback to help us.

She has also gone to bat for the team many times.

She isn't perfect as sometimes it takes a few days or a week to get an email replay but I've had worse bosses.

my boss's boss who i talked about in my second spoiler… his name is ALSO JOE and i'm pretty sure his last name also starts with an A :tornado: and then I met one of my residents for the first time the other night whose name was also Joe and he LOOKED LIKE ME (taller and twinkier and skinnier but bro's face was so much like mine I was shook)

He tries to be my friend but I refuse. He sucks at everything he does and is only in his position because he comes from a well off family, he constantly flops and loses clients, despite me working harder to fill in the gaps of his unprofessionalism, but eventually not even that helps because he fails to show up to meetings without even considering to text in advance to say he can't make it, never makes deadlines and is all around an idiot, constantly ignoring the clients requests.

I've stayed only because the pay was decent with decent benefits, but after all the stress I go through I'm considering quitting early next year and taking a break for my mental health :rip:

He invited me on a basketball match with his 2 daughters (3yo and 5yo), so I'd say its nice.

I've never been super close to my boss  boss - he's a nice guy and super charismatic but can really get a grip on a serious situation and handle it. But I've never been able to be super close to any upper boss I've ever had

However, my direct supervisor? I have always been like besties with in any job I've ever had - including my current one :dies:
