wish Posted Friday at 04:56 PM Posted Friday at 04:56 PM These unwarranted meltdowns just make me love Beyoncé even more. Give us another country album, queen. Make them even more upset 1 1 1

It was probably someone that works for him saying that him praising the album would be good PR for him, since the album was a big story when it came out. Why in the world would Beyoncé want approval from this person 3 1
Jotham Posted Friday at 04:59 PM Posted Friday at 04:59 PM He's probably jealous that, because of this album, Shaboozey became the next big country artist, not him. 1

His cultural cache was effectively gone by the time Cowboy Carter came out. He specifically says "someone I worked with" meaning someone in his orbit. It was for his benefit, not hers. 1

Don't think he would've benefited much for that? Also it would help for her to be accepted by country artists and fans more, if someone from their camp acknowledges her (obviously his support alone, wont do much ..but im looking if this was of more people requested) I mean this may not be the case, but big ass artists do have strong strategies so it wouldn't be strange for this to be real even if it isn't her team - connections

blown away Posted Saturday at 08:58 AM Posted Saturday at 08:58 AM "It represents how degenerative our society has become that a song like a Beyoncé version of 'Jolene' can come out and anybody actually listen to it and think it's not just complete trash," Jolene is one of Dolly's most revered songs, what nonsense is this man rambling? He just sounds bitter about a woman having a huge hit with a country song. He'd better spend his time making good music instead. Cowboy Carter is not my cup of tea either, but it's eons better than the sound he puts out.

Bookmark99 Posted Saturday at 09:34 PM Posted Saturday at 09:34 PM Quote In a video he posted on YouTube on Wednesday (Dec. 4), Anthony spends much of it discussing his experiences with the music industry, including mentioning an unnamed management company that he had begun working with following the success of "Rich Men North of Richmond." "In their own words, it was like, 'We gotta figure out how to make you cool,'" Anthony said, noting that one of the ideas an unnamed music industry member pitched to him involved having the singer-songwriter praise Beyoncé's Cowboy Carter album — an idea Anthony rejected. "One of the guys I worked with, he wanted me to make some stupid f–king post about Beyoncé's country album, about how it was good, even though it was complete trash. It makes me just want to throw up," Oliver said. He also disparaged Beyoncé's reimagining of Dolly Parton's classic "Jolene," saying, "Even half trying to listen to the beginning of, like, her version of 'Jolene,' it's just total cringe."
