Some of you must be really too deep in the fandom delusion to ridicule Prince's legacy and undeniable impact in favor of clamoring for a talentless, trash fad of the 2010s when you know damn well Prince's output obliterates the ephemeral Dr. Puke garbage of Katy Perry that no one remembers nowadays, even for nostalgia sake. Better stick to Gaga comparisons next time. Let's see who's gonna be doing tributes and homages to the amazing legend of Kitty Purry besides circus clowns in 30 years from now.

They knew each other since childhood so it was a friendly rivalry at most & mj set him up in front of james brown out of jealously

 

Michael threw many shots at Prince while P mostly kept quiet about it. Mj made Bad because he hated the fact Prince was being affectionately called his royal badness by djs. 

 

Mj also somehow managed to clear a sample of prince that he used in this track with Eddie Murphy. the video is a complete piss take out of Prince's aesthetic

 

Madonna should've supported him during his battle with WB.

Prince was definitely grouchy in his later years and I cannot defend some of his views after he became ultra religious but to compare his genius that will echo across the decades to Katy ******* Perry who needed Bonnie McKee to write a hit has to be the most preposterous thing I have ever read in here. The man was a legend with multiple classic albums to his name, a multi instrumentalist who wrote and produced thousands of songs on his own, a force of nature onstage and his work will continue to inspire all of your faves from Beyonce to Lady Gaga who both posted multiple Prince tributes just this past year. Literally use Google once.

 

It's like comparing Madonna to Ava Max. Do yourself a favor and listen to some of his music.

  Sis, all I said was he shaded and dragged MJ and Madge. I know they became friends after but that doesn't mean Prince wasn't a petty Priyanka.

Wouldn't you believe that too if you were told by some industry people that your abuser also abused his most frequent collaborator after you? Thinking your former friend was also abused by your abuser and telling it to someone in a private conversation is not the offense y'all think it is. If anything Gaga and Kesha were being empathetic about how complicated it would be for Katy to come forward like the latter did because of that.

In Prince's defense, I think the MAJORITY of the GP felt that way(I did as well). I was not a Katy fan at her peak, but I listened to some of her songs passively.

 

It wasn't until Katy disappeared that my opinions changed, and I started to enjoy her(despite her being "mindless crappy pop music").

 

I think every "new" celebrity gets the same reaction from the elder GP, while the 14 year olds eat their music.
