Taylor Swift's Target book launch was no big draw for Black Friday shoppers in Philly

This was pretty much my experience. When I went to my local Target Friday morning, I actually saw multiple people buying The Anthology vinyl, but tbh I didn't have to work to snatch up a tour book. :michael: It's such a niche product for Swifties, and if we're being honest, won't hold much interest for those that didn't attend Eras. And that's completely fine, because how many tour books have had enough demand to even be available at Target to begin with? :skull: On my way back into town that afternoon, I stopped back at Target for coffee and of course took a peak, and the vinyls were gone. :skull: She was never going to sell as many tour books, but it's clear people are still interested in her actual product, which is the music.

5M attended Eras in the US, though. :bird:

I know, I was one of them (attended two shows, actually). I'm just saying that the tour book will never do the numbers the vinyls will.

I think people were hunting more for the vinyl than the book. :suburban:

They can easily send these products overseas to sell, it won't be a loss for sure

Oh we're getting a teensy weensy bit brave I see...

Meh... She sells albums.

Plus her fans will eventually buy all of those. They're dedicated as hell.

The top selling book of last year sold 1.3 million copies, of course 2 million Eras Tour copies was way too much:rip:

It's nothing special like a biopic or something that's going to shift the culture. It's basically merch… so who cares.

Because the book was never the hot, limited item, the vinyl was. Which was gone within the first few minutes of opening by the way. It's clear her and her team didn't press 2M copies hoping it'll all sell out within the first day :dies: but just because it didn't sell out in Philadelphia doesn't mean it's not going to be bigger than if any other pop girl released a tour book. And by the way the tour book isn't anything new for Taylor either, she's been doing it for every single tour, just never on this big of a scale.

The book also seems to be very poor quality, with misspellings of her own songs. They clearly rushed this product. :rip:

People clearly are desperate to see Taylor's downfall :rip:

How many trees were chopped down to make 2 million books? She really hates the climate like one of her exes.

Outside Harry Potter not a single book have sell even close to 2 M in the first weekend. Nobody expected they to sold out the stock of the book dummy. But don't worry if other artist copy her and release a book (…Beyoncé) they will sell 1/20 of Taylor like what happened with the tour films

So this thread is about how Taylor is not able to sell 2 million books in a single day? Wow what a flop. Clearly the rumoured Beyonce art book is coming to outsell this. Right @Burn ? :gaycat2:

It was sold out at my Target

I stopped two Targets in my parents' middle-of-nowhere exurb in Eastern PA, and there only a handful of vinyls and tour books left.:celestial5:

Don't artists usually sell their tour books during the actual shows?
