Be honest – Justin Timberlake had one of 2024's best pop albums. True?

Somebody lied to you several times. It's a major improvement on Man Of The Woods but not even close to the best of 2024.

Yes, it's one of a handful of albums I listened to this year and enjoyed :clap3:

I cannot be honest about something I haven't and have no desire to hear :suburban:

Spoiler

I recently came to the conclusion that Man of the Woods is lowkey pretty good but I prob might get banned for making such a thread here I fear :ninja: @LovingDays

I liked Selfish but nothing else from the album grabbed me.

Putting aside his bad reputation, it's not even top 5 for me (and probably not top 10 if I actually thought about albums released this year). It's not a terrible album by any means but he's done better and didn't really have any tracks that truly stood out to me. I enjoyed some to be sure, but "one of 2024'S best pop albums" is a bit of a stretch.

...I absolutely loved 'Selfish' by Britney Spears. Such a beautiful track! I also really enjoyed 'Everytime' & 'Piece Of Me'.

It wasn't as bad as people make it out to be but this was the year of the hate train and ageism.

Older artist that released mid albums were heavily attacked by critics.

Meanwhile very basic albums by Sabrina or Gracie still got acclaim. Some things never change I guess.

MOTW is definitely better. Even at its worst, it is at least bad in an interesting way. The new one is just a snooze.

And nothing on it is better than Breeze off the Pond

@LovingDays and me anytime we mention JT on Britney Spears' ATRL

Out of pop boys yes. People hated it because of Justin's reputation but the album was actually pretty good. That first song was god awful though and deleted it that day

Ariana bey and Sabrina made the best albums this year imo

I agree. It's a pretty cute album. I had it on repeat for like a month, and then kinda forgot about it lol. I'd probably put it somewhere in my top 20, maybe 15, fave albums of 2024.

Selfish and F**kin Up The Disco are still amazing tho.

I feel like the new album has that simple unserious pop music vibe that so many users here say they crave from their faves. It def lacks the edge and statement of FS/LS but I found it very accessible. I automatically love it anytime he decides to work with Danja on solo songs.

BUT taste, though! Breeze Off the Pond & Sauce >>>
