Cardcaptor Sakura Posted November 29 Posted November 29 The GP has no taste as usual because Eternal Sunshine is my favorite album of hers. 3
PoisonPill Posted November 29 Posted November 29 Part of it is being released early in the year. Part of it is the lack of promo. Part of it is the singles starting big but fading quickly. 1
Joaco95 Posted November 29 Posted November 29 (edited) mid album, everything after wcbf going #1 flopped on the charts, she ignored the album for wicked Edited November 29 by Joaco95
genio Posted November 29 Posted November 29 three Grammy nominations multiple other award nominations (like BBMAs) universal acclaim (84 on MC) commercial success (#1 on BB200 and two #1s on H100, Spotify and AM #1s) I don't think that's being "completely ignored by the industry". 8
dman4life Posted November 29 Posted November 29 She's Glenda right now and getting her flowers elsewhere for the time being 1
psychodiva336 Posted November 30 Posted November 30 I actually blame the disgusting diarrhea-colored album cover 1
mons†er Posted November 30 Posted November 30 It's a boring album. It's also very inauthentic for Ari imo. It doesn't connect with the GP and it isn't forward thinking or even good outside of WCBF and Bye. 2 1

HANZ94 Posted December 1 Posted December 1 The world is tired of her having the same aesthetic since forever 2
americanlife Posted December 1 Posted December 1 It is disgusting and the music industry is campaigning against her, similar to how Mariah Carey was snubbed with Daydream and other eras. Ariana had two smash #1 debut hits, a 227k opening week, and she's the star of a huge film. This is clear snubbery. 3
Venice B Posted December 1 Posted December 1 For me it's her best album. It deserved way more recognition. 2 1
Magdalene Posted December 2 Posted December 2 probably lack of promotion but to be fair she was in between filming the biggest film of her career and getting ready to embark on a long winded press tour for it, im glad she got a breather in between the stress even just releasing an album during the process (and saving her reputation in one foul swoop) was impressive 2
hallucinate Posted December 4 Posted December 4 it is very weird tbh.. assuming it's because there were so many albums that were a bigger moment than ES even though the album did well on the charts
