overshadowed by every girls except katy, the amount of releases and that's without lana, sza, and gaga LG7 absence. album itself came and went for a week.

Not you again :deadbanana2:

Spotify Daily Streams:

- Eternal Sunshine: 6.1M - WCBF (2.1M) = 4M / 12 (10 tracks + 1 intro + 1 interlude) = 333k streams per track

- TTPD: 10.6M / 31 tracks = 340k streams per track

Eternal sunshine has yet to reach TTPD's first day total units. And it's already below most of Tay's albums on album chart.

Then why would Taylor be nominated?

TTPD is too big to ignore, and the Grammys will want Taylor to attend because she's a draw.

she snubbed it in favor of Wicked and when that BSA Oscar nom comes alongside her 3 grammy noms it'll be the payoff :clap3:

The music wasn't exciting enough and there have been tons of releases this year that had more oooomphh than the mellowy tone of Eternal Sunshine. It kinda just came and went.

The powers that be are trying to stop a future EGOT icon.

a well-received album but not particularly acclaimed, and good for the artist's standard but not a huge progression made by them.

Most people actually view it as Ariana's most clear and defined work to date, if not her magnum opus.

It's like if you took every aspect of Ariana Grande throughout the first 10 years of her career and finally found a way to make it all fit in one clear picture.

What's exciting is that she largely wrote and arranged the album by herself, given more freedom than ever from Republic.

And the general consensus of acclaim and respect for her choices on eternal sunshine + Wicked means whatever is next is free for her to go wherever she wants.

The idea of what she could do next based on the leftovers / scraps from ES. :jonny4:

The album basically just came and went and the way it was treated didn't help.

the era was already kinda dead in june when wcbf was pulled from radio for the boy is mine and that song was released as a single too late that despite a good mv that it did nothing, not even on radio. and there hasn't been an active radio single since like july

3 Grammy nominations is not "being completely ignored by the industry"

the album is good but critic is doing the most with it with the acclaim.

It`s a well done pop album but not secure AOTY nom type.

She got her flower in the pop field so what`s the complain, i thought the album was good and have decent recognization match the quality

lol because despite some real cute songs that did moderately well, it was overall average and did not shake pop culture or the table. She also abandoned the campaign to focus on the Wicked press run.

because she didn't put her album "out there" to be involved in those kinds of conversations when this year was being BLOATED by new music from household names and freshly emerging artists. the album/era got lost in translation even more when she decided to focus on wicked over that.. if she had promoted this era, i don't think the album would've been ignored.

There's arguments that she should have done more promo and played the game to have more spotlight on her, but in reality I feel the promo she did was for the best because its clear she was tired of the unnecessary constant hate thrown on her the whole year. I think she needed to disappear for a bit so that this hate train did not bleed into the wicked rollout. Thankfully it has somewhat calmed down but its gross how people kept trying to step on her over gossip allegations and overlooked those same allegations with male celebs like Hugh Jackman who was just accused of cheating on his wife a few weeks ago..The other pop girls did not have this weight on them through their album rollouts.

she should have cut ordinary things in favor of eternally. what a gorgeous perfect closer for the album that could have been :cries:

I also think she should have tacked on fantasize idgaf that would have been an instant #1
