EnigmaticAndroid Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago Because it was a respectable commercial success but nothing insane or among the absolute biggest pop eras of the year, a well-received album but not particularly acclaimed, and good for the artist's standard but not a huge progression made by them. I genuinely don't get what y'all expected it to get. 1
CBC Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago popstars sell a brand first and foremost, music comes second. Without promo the album went nowhere ofc. Also her gross home wrecking behaviour didn't help
TeemoR Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago I don't think it had something to offer to be honest, it was just…there. Even though WCBF is a hit, it's just there as well. 1 1
suneclipse121 Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Idk why and it pisses me off. Its such a great album and my personal favorite by her. 2 1
alfonso12 Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago I loved the album but the era was kinda forgettable tbh. The first single came and went, the second one was the only actual hit and the third one didn't track many attention. The fact that she barely promoted and that there was no tour also had a lot do with that I believe. 1
Poxy Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago I can't help but feel like she doesn't care about this herself and is probably content or okay with the way her new manager handles things. 1
DanyelP23 Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Nobody has brought it up before and I'm not insinuating this is 100% the case, but I'm wondering if her whole public situation with Ethan Slater might have turned some people in the industry off (which would be 100% hypocritical and kinda stupid since the GeePee didn't care enough to abandon her) 2
loveisdead9582 Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Lack of promo is really the only thing I can think of. It's a solid album with some great songs. Not having ANYTHING in any major categories is robbery.
Dialamba Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago The promo the first month was good then she dipped, wasted TBIM and supernatural. Like the album is doing good overall better than positions but it didn't generate buzz.
Mezik Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago In my opinion, I think the promotion for this album was non existent. Ariana had her reasons not to promote the album, but everything else was so in your face.. so it naturally faded to the background?
whiteferrari Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago It's my favorite album by her, but as others said she is only fully behind Wicked It's the same situation for the VMA's. Everyone knows she deserved VOTY but she can't expect to win without showing interest (unfortunately)
Janet Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago The era came and went. She essentially killed it off herself a few months ago didn't she?
unclefloprry Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago For me, it's the inclusion of Cobra, BRAT and even Cowboy Carter because Spotify Wrapped isn't about vibes or what resonated on social media; it's about NUMBERS. None of those eras will have a song in the Top 50 Songs of 2024 and Charli will be lucky if she makes it into the Top 50 Artists of the Year. I'm curious to see what new chart or feature will debut to justify that add
unclefloprry Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago (edited) The fact BRAT SUMMER was OUT even in their Summer Charts Edited 1 hour ago by unclefloprry 1
Erotic Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago It was a very competitive year in music and the album + era just didn't really match up to the other content that was culturally relevant this year.
Itz_Dani! Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago (edited) The cheating scandal permanently ruined her image, sadly. It was wrong nonetheless but there's a double standard society forgives male celebs for this type of thing while the women are ripped apart and punished for it. Edited 1 hour ago by Itz_Dani!

Ariana was never an awards darling. She's always snubbed. She -very mysteriously- didn't get a Best New Artist nomination at the Grammy's and for both of her biggest eras -ME and TUN- she made headlines for walking out empty handed at the Grammy's and the AMA's. So, it has nothing to do with Ethan Slater. She's either not pushing hard enough or she has a more general reputation problem we don't know about 1
Popboi. Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago This year has an abnormally high amount of huge albums by female artists, it just got lost in the mix. 1
georgechxng Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago (edited) wicked is smashing and she's about to get an oscar nomination (with potential for a win) for acting on her first film role so i doubt she cares atp. she's having one of the biggest moments of her career rn so arianators should focus on that. chaklux Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago She ignored the era after the first week. Some might also say Beyonce didn't promote too but the announcement of the Cowboy Carter up till the release week was generating conversations. Texas Hold'Em was a hit and Beyoncé kept the country aesthetics for a while . While some of you may not agree, but Shaboozey blowing up with this year was also linked to his feature on the album, there was also the debate of Beyoncé stealing the shine of black artists that have been doing country music for years like K.Michelle, Lastly to the best of my knowledge, it's the biggest country album commercially this year . All these made Cowboy Carter more memorable compared to Eternal Sunshine.
Cheeky Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago I don't get the outrage. The album doesn't tell us anything we didn't already know about Ariana, and sonically it's hardly anything new for her either. Why would it be nominated?
