Feeling extreme guilt for calling in sick

I used to feel like that then I got a job that doesn't make you feel like **** for doing so lol. Take care of yourself! It'd be one thing if you weren't actually sick.

From someone who used to feel the same, genuinely don't. Work places will go on whether you're there or not. If you're sick, you're sick. Never push yourself into being more sick for work, it's neeeeever appreciated.

100% this. You calling in sick won't bring your workplace to its knees. They'll manage just fine. Also I hate when my coworkers come in sick when they should be at home. I don't want your germs!

oh, this 1000%. the only two times I've gotten really sick in like 5 years have been from a) someone bringing COVID into work b) someone bringing the flu into work.

You would be doing a bad thing if you stayed at work because you'd put other coworkers at risk

You shouldn't be going to work sick regardless, nobody wants those germs

Girl call in sick for the rest of the week and take your time to recover well ESPECIALLY if it's a physical job. Better to give notice early than to call at 7am in the morning.
