AmericanIdol Posted November 26 Posted November 26 This will backfire on him just like it backfired on Nicki when she tried to sabotage Megan and ended up giving a #1 to her
HarleyWin Posted November 26 Posted November 26 Suing UMG for "falsely" accusing him of being a pedo and not Kendrick is by far the easiest way he could have told on himself. 💀 Suing Kendrick would mean that Kendrick has to explain why he made the allegations and bring forward evidence. Instead, he is angry at the label for allowing Kendrick to release the song.. the same label that allowed him to accuse Kendrick of domestic violence and claim his son is illegitimate. I just can't with Aubrey, this is too much 2 1 2
Gossip_Boy Posted November 26 Posted November 26 Multiple lawsuits over a diss record. The white is showing. Can we stop calling him a rapper now? He's a pop b!tch (emphasis on b!tch). 6 1 4

That feud didn't damage Nicki's career, this however... 1
Miles. Posted November 26 Posted November 26 Oh my goodness.... he's just telling on himself over and over. Taking shot after shot at his own career. And doing all this 4 days after Kendrick dropped GNX.......... oh it's bad for Aubrey, it's very very bad. Now here I thought Nicki was the messiest ***** in Young Money, but this takes the (BBL) cake 2
Attitude Posted November 26 Posted November 26 Someone said he's suing to prevent him from performing the song at the Super Bowl and I believe it. 5 1 1
Braz Posted November 26 Posted November 26 He's only giving more free promo for Kendrick and his new album. The Streisand effect never fails.

But in the end he is doing just the opposite with this and the chances of a performance will increase. Like everybody wants to hear not like us at the superbowl after all the **** drake tries to pull And not to mention that at least a grammy is also likely Edited November 26 by Helix
AMIT Posted November 26 Posted November 26 Not a second lawsuit. It's like Drake's ego really can't handle Kendrick ending him and said lemme do it myself. 1

It wouldn't stop the song from being performed. Drake has no control over the publishing, the writers are the ones that need to approve it for televised events. 2 1

Just a Gay on ATRL Posted November 27 Posted November 27 Legacy forever ruined on this one. An absolute loser.

The thing is, the powers that be won't even do it abruptly. That would be too obvious. It will be increasingly blah playlisting. Not as much radio dominance. Etc. And because his whole thing is huge, almost automated success, anything less than that presents and a dip and will be. Add to that the fact that his organic clout has taken a hit and yeah, it's about to look different. Drake debuting/peaking top 10/20 instead of #1 with a single...is effectively a dip. Same with his albums, EPs, "packs". Never say never, he may randomly be able to weather the storm, but I thnk this is all happening at what would have been his organic dip anyway. In some ways, it feels like Universal knowing his peak is coming ... And them allowing Kendrick to release the diss tracks will ensure that if Drake leaves Universal, he wont have his commercial support elsewhere Universal essentially killed his commercial success and put him in a lose-lose situation: either he stays unhappy with them, or he leaves and will underperform elsewhere They want to remind Drake that they are still his boss
4th Time Around Posted November 27 Posted November 27 Drake called Kendrick a wife beater with zero proof prior to Kendrick calling him a pedo which can be backed up with lots of evidence of Drakes creepy behavior with young girls. Now he wants to cry about defamation in a rap beef where anything is fair game. Really shows how serious the damage is that has been inflicted on his public image. BBL Drizzy is still the wheelchair actor at heart, not a true rap warrior and representative of real hiphip like Kendrick. 5

The network will absolutely bar Kendrick from performing it if they feel it will result in legal issues. They don't care about rap beef to disregard it. 1
dumbsparce Posted November 27 Posted November 27 I always got the sense he was a sassy little ***** and I don't even pay attention to his music or follow him in general. How did he manage to dominate for so long in a genre that represents the opposite of who he is? Are straight men really that stupid? 1 1

His songs were super radio friendly and made to be easily digestible to the widest net of people possible. He was essentially the McDonald's or Maroon 5 of rap: made purely for max consumption potential at the expense of artistry. He had a talent for catchy melodies, which is what his legacy will prob be at this point, because it certainly won't be a respected legacy as a rapper anymore. He squandered that this year 4 2
