Sometimes I wonder if y'all have forgotten how Rick and his gay intern almost ruined her career with their production? Maybe nostalgia kicks in for some of y'all a lil bit too much, but just to give y'all a healthy reminder of Lana's work with Rick over the years - completly ruined Body Electric & every other song he worked on on Paradise - if Rick had its way, UV was supposed to sound like the West Coast demo (elevator music version) - muffled and cheap production throughout LFL sounding like 5$ budget & a baked potato on the side - songs he worked on that didn't live up to the hype after he got axed: TNBAR, Bartender & Yosemite - he literally gave her 2001 Dido leftover soundscapes for HM and underlayed them with trap beats. He left her with repetitive, tacky and uninspired ideas, fading in relevance and flopping on the charts. Jack put her back on track. His musicianship forced her outside of the box, allowing her to mature gracefully, finally her lyrics improved several leagues, Grammy nominations left and right, improving her chart run etc etc. And yet, ppl are still here mentiniong albums where tacky grandpa Rick Nowels was the main producer. I'm sick of y'all homosexuals. end it

NextBish90 Posted November 27 Posted November 27 This picture is giving anxiety really. Tell me this is not the cover.
Outlaws Posted November 27 Posted November 27 Yeah, may is not giving. I wonder if she announced this to help the tour sales, or they are just being messy as usual.

Ocean Blvd was only pushing boundaries lyrically with a style of stream of consciousness that she has since Chemtrails...and only in 3 songs like Fingertips, Kintsugi and Grandfather 1

I guess we can just be thankful she realized what she had to do fairly quickly.

It has its gems and moments, like anything she does, but at the end of the day it's a confusing transitional album. She should have trusted her gut and made TNBAR as she originally envisioned it, nevertheless it had to happen. The whiplash into NFR was unlike anything else and clearly showed she too wasn't in love with her output during that time, hence she made huge changes all around. Anyway, gonna stop reminiscing and I'll see you all when a single is out. 1
Tyrion_LMG Posted November 28 Posted November 28 I managed to grab tickets for the Liverpool show yesterday so I really do hope this album is released before the tour starts
Azealia Banks Posted November 28 Posted November 28 What if the album name is for her fans she is testing us…
Bad_vocal_technique Posted November 28 Posted November 28 I have been obsessed with the snippet she posted of Henry since day one and now it's confirmed as the first single. Henry, come on 1
Richie Posted November 28 Posted November 28 I wouldn't get too invested on this announcement. We all know Lana is unpredictable and she scraps projects whenever her inspiration/mood changes.
stjosephprey4us Posted November 28 Posted November 28 Imagining we are getting a BB 2.0, but this time with Jack production, a masterpiece is coming…
1989 Posted November 29 Posted November 29 If she's gonna scrap anything this go round, it better be the cover
SinnerCity Posted December 1 Posted December 1 Ocean blvrd is not one of Lana's best albums, be for real now. It might have one of her best songs ever but that album is not seeing BTD nor Ultraviolence 1 3 3 1
stjosephprey4us Posted December 1 Posted December 1 (edited) It's hard to rank her albums because she's almost a whole different person/artist from BTD to UV, HM & LFL, to everything post (aside from Ocean Boulevard) imo Edited December 1 by stjosephprey4us
