Gossip_Boy Posted November 23 Posted November 23 I can't access the tweets but if he came out on his own good for him. If he was outed the I feel terrible. People who try to out others deserved to have their asses beat.
TouchinFree Posted November 23 Posted November 23 Outing should be considered a ******* crime. Possibly the worst thing to happen to a person plus you'd never know what's going on. Major trauma from that ****. Whoever does it is pure evil. 3

Reverse Warholian Posted November 23 Posted November 23 (edited) The circumstances surrounding his coming out are so unfortunate, however. We will be streaming 'Eastside', plus a handful of tracks off American Teen tonight in Khalid's honor! @AshleyLovescats887 @TalkThatRihanna Edited November 23 by Reverse Warholian 2
hungrymuffin Posted November 23 Posted November 23 i think even the straights knew about it before this, but its so unfortunate he got outed

XXI. Posted November 23 Posted November 23 Outing someone is always wrong. That said, I do find it a bit odd to be in a serious relationship while hiding it, and then claim you're not ashamed of your sexuality. I genuinely hope he takes the time to heal, accept, and love himself. I also hope the person who outed him reflects on their actions and realizes how harmful they could be. 1
DuffStan Posted November 23 Posted November 23 Sad the way he got outted but so glad we have him to support even more now 1

Keep your invasive thoughts to yourself, say congrats and move on. PS: thinking every man in entertainment is secretly gay doesn't put you in the know, just delusional. 6

Khalid has never been publicly linked to anyone romantically, and in my opinion, that's not just about wanting to keep a relationship private—it feels more like an effort to conceal his sexual orientation. As someone who's gay, I can relate to the mindset because I've been there too, once using excuses just like him like "it's nobody's business." I recognize now that it often comes from a place of internalized fear. People who are truly proud to be gay don't say things like that. I stand by what I said… I genuinely hope he finds love and acceptance on his own terms, however that looks for him. Being outed is and must feel terrible. Edited November 24 by XXI. 1

I don't know, man, maybe the reason why he said "nobody's business" is because he got publicly outed by a bitter *******. The context of the situation matters here Also, gay people are allowed to have boring personal romantic life, including public figures like Khalid 6

His refusal to use pronouns in his music (as far as I'm aware) was why I always suspected he was not straight. Also I remember I saw him live once and he had loads of monologues accompanying his tour visuals talking about self-discovery etc which also made me raise an eyebrow 2
