I just had a look at the viewing figures for SNL and they're normally in the 4-6M range, so it's not really like this is a massive decline from the other episodes

26 overall….behind multiple Taylor, Morgan Wallen, Zach Bryan albums. Gaga (who I love and saw at the Chromatica Ball)'s Chromatica at 36 in 2020. Ariana is only a few spots ahead at 19. 
 

26 is very good for any female artist not named Adele/Beyonce/Taylor

She was host both host and musical guest whereas usually there are two different people promoting the episode. Really not sure why people are so quick to put Charli down when she's had the best year of her career.

Honey, you didn't need to be a brat over the artists in their signature. Aside from 5H, Thomas and Brett (two of which are country artists), the rest of these people are known in other countries except PRETTYMUCH and Jon McLaughlin who are US born and either are forgotten now or never blew up. 

 

Charli is somewhat known but definitely not to an older audience outside Millennials and Gen Z.

I like her but she is a niche artist even with all that push she could not get top 10 hits on the hot 100. She has a following and got some media coverage but it still didnt help her become mainstream like a carpenter or rodrigo.
