that's fair! personally I think that while her pen game has certainly evolved, she still retains some of the ethereal sensual lyricism I always loved. Serpentina was sequenced smartly (if nothing else) because the melodically strongest songs were spaced out well. the first   two singles tragically felt like less than great reduxes of past great songs. Meteorite, Holding Back, and Birds by the Sea all brought some interesting texture to the rest of the album that kinda filled it out well. it does feel like she's back on track *knocks on wood* with this new era with the two singles so far as opposed to the slight falter with Serpentina

Best Friends rly grew on me since hearing it in HQ. I only heard it in that live and it bored me, but this is gonna be one I replay to death, it's so Goddess

just relistened to I Told a few times and wow why didn't this one stand out to me out of the leaks at first wtf  it's so haunting and progressive sounding! My problem with Serpentina was also, that the tour just wasn't good. I've seen the Altar tour twice, I've been to the III tour as well and then Serpentina was pretty much the same but worse. Not only was her energy in the choreo really off but it had so much backing track as well, felt like way more than in the previous tours. She also didn't look like she was enjoying herself. I wasn't sure if I'd even go to her next tour cause I was so disappointed. But I have to say she seems to be in a better place now and I'd actually give her another shot.

hummm because Banks literally teased a snippet of the song back in 2017/2019 and I fell in love with it so when it leaked I could not help myself but coming back to it. 

Moreover, even tho I said "Best Friends demo", the leak was more than a demo like it was a full fledged song that could have very well been released like that.

I hate the tone of your post by the way, just snobbish for no reasons lol
