It should definetely has to do with how overplayed the song was, same for "Happy", but I have always disliked that one. Such a nightmare to think about early 2014. Omg I just posted this. I was driving a lot for work at that time and it was HELL.
Archetype Posted November 21, 2024 Posted November 21, 2024 Party Rock Anthem is possible the worst song of all time, I truly despite it in every way 1

Bubble Tea Posted November 22, 2024 Posted November 22, 2024 "Dance Monkey" came to mind when I saw this thread title and I'm pleasantly surprised to see so many agree. Hate the production, hate the lyrics and absolutely LOATHE the way it's sung, that awful italicized voice. Also really hated that one Ed Sheeran song, "Shape Of You." So damn annoying!
Thuggin Posted November 22, 2024 Posted November 22, 2024 What's Up? - 4 Non Blondes Overplayed at weddings, overdone at karaoke, annoying af to hear people scream the chorus, and mediocre to begin with Other strong contenders: Baby - Justin Bieber Party in the USA - Miley Cyrus I feel like they were once agreed to be bad songs but then became "ironically good" and now are overplayed in bars. All I Do Is Win - DJ Khaled No Hands - Waka Flocka Flame More basic, annoying shouty bar songs for straight people. Just Give Me A Reason - P!nk This might even challenge for #1. There is nothing redeemable about this radio played to death HAC fodder nothingness of a song for me Not Like Us - Kendrick Lamar I'm sick of this beef. I don't care. The whole concept of the song is gimmicky. And the beat is repetitive and annoying. God's Plan - Drake This song is just pure droning noise. It's just mumbling with some one liners for people to shout in bars while they lazily sway side to side. Songs like this literally killed clubs. 24K Magic - Bruno Mars I always hated this song and it sends shivers down my spine seeing people awkwardly wave their hands in the air to it. Also overplayed at weddings and I usually hate wedding songs. Sweet Caroline - Neil Diamond Oh look another overplayed wedding song! And what makes it worse is when the DJ goes to the crowd to yell the chorus "BAH BAH BAHHH!" Love On The Brain - Rihanna Sorry. I know it's objectively maybe not the worst song ever, but all I associate it with now is people covering it in talent shows or karaoke and doing WAY too much with not enough talent, it's just grating to me now. In the Air Tonight - Phil Collins Love Shack - The B-52s No commentary. Just don't like them.
