I'm a little bummed she kept things so basic  but I suppose it makes sense that she wouldn't hire musicians or dancers for one TV gig when it was like this on the tour.

She feels at her most essential and authentic with this look and performance style and it works great for her shows, but I'm ready for her to serve like she did with the Crash era performances again.

I wasn't expecting a band but I was hoping for a Lorde or Ariana appearance. I'd even take Troye for "Talk Talk" remix.

 

"360" performance fell flat for me. It doesn't work as well without the intense strobe lights and a crowd of gays in front of her.

 

"Sympathy" performance was great, no notes.

I like the basic, cheap 2000s, dgaf vibe of the performances here. The issue with the 360 performance is that if u are gonna dress in basic wear and have a handbag on while u perform your background needs to also be basic. Her having the green LED screens / background juxtaposes with the basic look too much in a way.  Idk how to explain it

Sympathy on the other hand slayed me, a cute redemption!
