It also sounds like she had writer's block and writing didn't come naturally for this album. 
 

Will she disown this album in 5 years and say it wasn't really what she wanted to do?

LMFAOOO i just checked it out and the instrumental sounds like one of those non-copyrighted songs people use for their videos

If she really cared about getting hits she wouldn't have sabotaged her own career by taking a 5 year hiatus back in 2007 when she was dominating the pop scene. 
 

Whatever she's trying to do right now is so generic and awful and at least 10 years too late.

I wish Gwen was more successful because she is talented, but this album is not it and I think it's her fault. 

 

Writers block? Get writing camps, they'll inspire you, help you, and you can still change the lyrics and get that writing credit you want. At least the songs would be finished and a lot to choose from to create a strong album. 

 

I think Gwen wanted and hoped her husbands fans would back her up if she released country album. Obviously they are not there for her. So basically nobody really cares for this album. I do think she deserved better with TIWTTFL but this new album is meh. Somebody Else's is the only good song the rest is not very good and in a few weeks it'll be forgotten. 

 

What she should have done was go back to the producers of LAMB and ask them if they want to work with her again even just for a song or two, but they'd deliver the hits and the rest can be fillers.
