Yeah, basically only a brand new smash will stop him in January, it's so obvious he will be the first #1 song after Christmas is over.

I have no idea what the heck you're talking about because the stats show differently: 11/2 A Bar Song - 245 (-4%) Die With a Smile - 194 (+1%) That's So True - 67 11/9 A Bar Song - 239 (-4%) Die With a Smile - 218 (+10%) That's So True - 115 (+62%) 11/16 A Bar Song - 226 (-4%) Die With a Smile - 222 (-4%) That's So True - 144 (+26%) 11/23 A Bar Song - 219 (-4%) Die With a Smile - 215 (+1%) That's So True - 176 (+23%) It seems like the only song that's fading is A Bar Song. But it's certainly not That's So True.

ClashAndBurn Posted Wednesday at 02:03 PM Posted Wednesday at 02:03 PM I personally would think Shaboozey's favored for #1 in January due to New Year recap countdowns and stuff. Usually the biggest hit of the year isn't going strong into the very next year. But... we'll see.

It's not going to be a big radio hit and by January it'll definitely die out on streams. I like the song and love that it hit Top 6, but even just this week it didn't hit 5 which it was expected to because streaming started to cool off. A Bar Song, being the biggest song of the year, will get a major boost on New Years, especially where it's a party song.

Mr. Duff Posted Wednesday at 04:56 PM Posted Wednesday at 04:56 PM I hope this is not faux prediction - I really want Gaga and Bruno to get #1! Really deserving! The acoustic and live versions should have been released this week. Ugh, I hate bad timing. I'm still hoping it will pull through - let's go stream!!!
Iceland Posted Wednesday at 05:57 PM Posted Wednesday at 05:57 PM Come through Shabooo whwre are all my shaboonizers!? 1 2
IBeMe Posted Wednesday at 06:51 PM Posted Wednesday at 06:51 PM But the CMAs are tonight and they actually give big boosts on iTunes and streaming. One of the few award shows that still give a significant boost. DWAS is getting blocked. 1
naval23 Posted Wednesday at 06:53 PM Posted Wednesday at 06:53 PM Damn this will be her "Bad Romance" and Xmas songs and A Bar Song will be her "Tik Tok" and "Empire State of Mind" I fear

TOTC final predictions last year: I Remember Everything +4% Fast Car +1% Thinkin Bout Me +5% the previous week: I Remember Everything -10% Fast Car -7% Thinkin Bout Me -9% So all of them had been dropping but rebounded from the awards. jamiko1230 Posted Wednesday at 07:18 PM Posted Wednesday at 07:18 PM Oh wow this is eerily like May 2021 & reverse Levitating/ Leave The Door Open!! lol Like...to a tee. Dua (this years Shaboozey) karma back to Bruno? ;) hehe But, ya, was actually & infamously BILLBOARD responsible for that f**kery more than Bruno.
scottydog Posted Wednesday at 07:44 PM Posted Wednesday at 07:44 PM Die with a Smile would have to pull a miracle tomorrow for it to overcome a bump from the CMAs. Sales will definitely be up, likely streams as well for Bar Song.
Capruni Posted Wednesday at 07:44 PM Posted Wednesday at 07:44 PM (edited) They won't reach #1 def if they don't do anything! I'm in panic! 😭 Edited Wednesday at 07:46 PM by Capruni

Hector Posted Wednesday at 07:50 PM Posted Wednesday at 07:50 PM With a big, consumption-driving night at the CMAs tonight (and with next week's charts reflecting consumption for the tracking week ending Thursday), the timing might be right next week for Shaboozey to etch his name in the Billboard history books. Lady Gaga & Bruno Mars, "Die With a Smile" (Streamline/Interscope/Atlantic/ICLG): Despite being a full three months into its lifespan at this point, "Die With a Smile" is still gaining chart momentum, as it hits the Radio Songs top five and No. 1 on Pop Airplay — Gaga's first time reaching those heights since 2011. The song's streaming looks to be relatively even with last week, and it's currently discounted to 69 cents on iTunes – as is "A Bar Song" — so it should be a pretty close battle next week on the Hot 100 between the two. If Shaboozey does get a CMAs bump, can Gaga and Bruno and their respective teams find a way before Friday to get their song a little extra juice? These questions might determine the winner in what should be a very closely monitored Hot 100 race next week. https://www.billboard.com/music/chart-beat/shaboozey-a-bar-song-hot-100-record-tie-contenders-1235834302/
1989 Posted Wednesday at 07:55 PM Posted Wednesday at 07:55 PM (edited) Shaboozey will be #1 again. The CMAs are tonight and not only is he up for two big awards, but he's also a front runner for them. I'm not sure if he's performing, but if he is it'll just boost his chances even further. Gaga and Bruno will need a miracle. Edited Wednesday at 07:56 PM by 1989 2
