I don't know what this is suppose to mean since Ariana is doing a fantastic job with it as well. Amanda would have been incredible but judging from everything I've seen so far, Ariana is amazing in it so.....

'she doesn't know the lyrics' well obviously she didn't get the part so why would she be memorizing script for a role she's not doing. and no this is obviously not her audition tape, she just did this on the spot which makes it more impressive and yes she emotes better than Arianka

Casting chose Ariana for a reason. Everyone needs to get over it already, like it's been years. At least wait for the movie to come out before you judge  all the early reviews are super positive on her performance

Love Ariana but part of this movie's marketing has been selling the idea that she was cast "despite" being Ariana Grande when it's clear they would want a big name attached to this movie.

 

Frankly, I do believe someone like Amanda would have been better if only to give some kind of original characterization of Galinda that's distinct from the broadway show. Amanda can sell ditzy (Karen) in a way Ariana just doesn't hence why Cynthia's Elphaba feels original and Ariana's Galinda feels like a Kristin Chenoweth impression.
