Her covers on her show can be like this, but I highly disagree with "it's all acrobatics with her".  She feels it.

There are minimal to 0 acrobatics in these performances:

And even when she does do acrobatics, she feels it:

Even when she did I Will Always Love You, she opted out of a lot of Whitney's vocalizations to not be compared, but still oozed emotion:

Yeah, maybe I was a lil' harsh, after all I love her cover of "Why" by Annie Lennox. Like, adore.

But yeah her Kellyoke stuff is so MOR to me.

Yeah I think doing a new cover every day on a studio set while she's about to host a talk show, she doesn't quite tap into the emotion of it every single time the way she normally does, especially since she probably has to focus on cameras/lighting/etc.  She's always been like that performing on TV shows throughout her career,; but in concert settings, she really lets herself get lost in the moment, gets into it and emotes so so well.  Watching the performances from her Vegas shows over the past year reminded me of how much the setting matters for her.

Kelly knows a classic solo hit when she hears one:clap3:

Not this SoLo SMASH racing towards 2 BILLION making OGHs seethe 6 years later  :jonny5:

OT: That was nice! Kelly is such a fantastic vocalist. But there's something so special and heartfelt about the original that just can't be replicated. :jonny2:

Unsurprisingly better than the original! I enjoyed it :bird:
