Like presenting 16 seconds from a 2hr long movie is silly because it ignores everything that could have contextualised the scene for us

Here's the longer version.

So apparently this scene was meant to be funny. But this isn't really funny imo. :rip:

When you watch the complete scene is like any other musical.

I WOULD NOT be gaslighted by French critics and Twitter losers that this is a good movie

french critics?

it has been praised everywhere. it has already won 16 awards from 29 nominations it got.

u can say that u wouldn't be gashlighted by critics from all around the world tho, that would be a opinion.

ATRL isn't going to like this movie, it's polarizing in film circles. I watched it yesterday andI liked it, but its strongest attributes are by far the performances from Karla Sofía Gascón, Zoe Saldana, and Selena Gomez.

The autotune'd "from ***** to ******" along with intentionally "asian" accent cracks tf outta me:bibliahh:

:rip: It can't be real. No wonder critics and hollyweird are losing credibility with the GP so rapidly.

I like Zoe but if this weird number is the alleged zenith of her acting career and she "sweeps" the awards, Trump winning in 2024 will finally make sense. Like what the hell are these cringy songs? :rip: Hollyweird has truly lost the plot and is alienating the GP.

It HAS NOT been praised by Mexican critics AKA the people who'd actually know about the VERY sensitive topic this ******* movie is presenting. This "Mexican" movie starring two pochas, and a Spanish, filmed in France, written and directed by a French, and without Mexican crew :gaycat7:

**** this movie and **** the actresses who think this cute lil musical was a good idea to make! I'm glad the GP is seeing right through it. Us, Mexicans, HATE IT!!

Funny how a lovatic is ALWAYS against public opinions hahaha Emilia Perez is the biggest contender for Best Picture while you're on ATRL trying to make it look like a bad movie hahaha Demi's **** touch may have been passed by her 2 fans

Of course Selena "sang off key in my chorus" Gomez would star in a movie like this

Taylor could NEVER star in an Oscar contender movie

I really liked the movie. Deserves the acclaim. Karla Sofía Gascón and Zoe Saldaña both give incredible performances and Selena Gomez is good, too.

It's a musical, so of course some things about it are kooky and funny out-of-context. It did get some laughs out of me but it's not a comedy — far from it.

French production companies

Spanish-language film

French director
French distribution company

and yet you're talking about Hollywood because your fave's most recent movie bombed and has 0 Oscar chances :skull:
