Billie Bossa Nova currently being the second most streamed song after the title track without any push whatsoever

I love talent

Billie is much bigger outside the US, so people think her flopping in the US would've caused a decline.

But she has recovered very well from her sophomore slump.

This album aged like fine wine but will sadly always be remembered as an underperformance. And to be honest I like it way more than WWAFAWDWG (which I barely listen to anymore).

It didn't deserve the backlash it got and in a perfect universe HTE (Song) would have been a multiweek #1 :cries:

It's funny because it'll move more units in one decade than Drake's peak album did in one decade (Views). They called it a flop album only for it to end up being a smash :ryan3:

It didn't even flop in the U.S. No re-release and it's already over 2.7M units and still climbing. It'll be 3x Platinum in 2025 and finish the decade over 4x Platinum here.

The more you think about it the more the numbers look even more impressive.

No collaborations, no deluxe, no remixes whatsoever, no other versions.

One album done by 2 people, 16 tracks. That's it.

Also a complete shift in visuals and some in sound too (always risky specially in a 2nd album).

Never understood why they didn't combine the two like other artists do.

The combined streams from both are near 2B (1.95B)
