Why did the former owner of Twitter sell Twitter just to make a Twitter 2.0 (Bluesky)?

I've read this headline at least 6 times since 2022

X has an irreplaceable niches, the only people leaving are liberals who are too focused in the elections

All the other niches won't move, not even the stan world

Threads was the biggest shot to destroy Twitter and it failed big time

I've had an account since last year but haven't used it yet :rip: I kinda wish it still required an invitation to join because the last thing it needs is the MAGAts and bots joining.

They can easily be blocked once and for all with block lists (Maga, Ai, homophobic, nazis, crypto, nft)

When the lists gets updated with new accounts - they will be automatically blocked for you. :jonnykin:

If all the porn accounts move over, it could legit kill Twitter. Tumblr was HUGE and it literally died overnight after the porn ban.

No, it should be available in many countries.

It's #2 on UK and Canada's app store charts right now.

It won't happen.

The only way it will be replaced if another app comes along and everyone joins it in an ORGANIC way

Funny thing is...this in the end what Elon wanted...Twitter dead. And now that he's in Trumps cabinet, I doubt he's gonna care about it anymore.

Funny thing #2, people flocking to the app of the former owner of Twitter...

Twitter was fine with Dorsey. Also, Dorsey left Bluesky.

Also, Elon does not want Twitter dead. He wanted it to drop in value so he could buy it and use it as a propaganda platform in the US and abroad.

1 million new users since yesterday, now at 16M. :deadbanana:

No wonder their servers are serving ATRL right now, hopefully they were prepared for the scalability issues

sis Jack hasn't been involved with Bsky for a while now, and he used to be just an investor/board member iirc. Anyway the users started dragging his ass for smth so he dipped out, said on twitter that people should stay put, and then tried launching some crypto social media which bombed i think.

No, it works here in Brazil too. When twitter got suspended for a month or two by our justice, everyone from twitter here went to BlueSky.

I don't want/need a liberal echo chamber. I had ATRL for that during my Hopium phase when Biden dropped out and Kamala took over.

I don't need that either but Twitter is literally just toxicity up the ass now. It's really bad.

Even politics aside, the things that are shoved into my algorithm despite me saying I'm not interested in posts like that are… disgusting.

People dying, men pushing misogyny, homophobic nonsense, endless bots, endless content farms, people baiting for interactions… it's a total cesspool. I can't be there anymore, it's actually bad for my mental health.

Come hug and cuddle with me and I'll make your mental health a million times better :bird:

No but for real, I agree Twitter sucks too

Are people posting pole on Bluesky?

honestly I'm pleasantly surprised that all the porn content creators that I follow on X are liberals that decided to make the move in the past week. i was so sure most of them were secret trumpsters. my taste is immaculate

The p*** on bluesky is good rn, but a little too unbalanced in the furry direction. Once more creators come over, Twitter will die and that's for the better of us all ngl. It's also nice just having a place with little to no bots on the platform - feels like a public, hidden secret.
