So you are okay with the fact that your country bomb hirosima and nagasaki and madonna do nothing with that even knowing that her was in her 30's or something like that 1

DonnaSpring Posted November 12 Posted November 12 For the next Gaga album she would go the Miley Cyrus flowers route, more adult orientated pop
Youngbae Posted November 12 Posted November 12 Um, I find it hard to comment, so so let me just quote my own post from that solo number ones thread : On 11/7/2024 at 8:36 PM, Youngbae said: Oh dear, how embarassing for her and her fans 1

skeeyee Posted November 12 Posted November 12 3/4 members of blackpink doing better than her 1/4 hasn't released anything sour candy indeed 1 2
Jay07 Posted November 12 Posted November 12 I don't listen to radio but if Chappell and Sabrina are what people enjoy on there, I can see how an industrial track full of screaming and moaning isn't to their preference.
Domination Posted November 12 Posted November 12 Even if this was released in 2013 it would have had terrible callout. Not even Gaga at her peak could get radio on board with a song this loud and abrasive.
Sombre Posted November 12 Posted November 12 (edited) So my takeaway from this thread is that Disease debuted 2 spots higher than Die With A Smash on radio call outs. The same song that's about to reach #1 on US Pop radio? Oh wow. We're winning. Next! Edited November 12 by Sombre
Sannie Posted November 12 Posted November 12 Not surprising. This is what happens when you make music that doesn't sound like generic radio fodder in an attempt to relive past glories. Trying to constantly compare this song to Katy is so funny. Katy ran back to a rapist in a desperate attempt to relive past glories and it still didn't work. Gaga is working with new people and exploring new ground for her. Artist vs. product.

This would make sense, if Gaga wasn't as equally thirsty for success. With the lead single flopping, she's definitely going to pull some kind of trick to make up for it. An album can hardly survive in the streaming age without a hit song carrying it. We're not talking about some indie underground artist, she's still a commercial pop star that needs to sell. 1

New ground the umpteenth time she rehashes the BTW sound?
Doctor Dick Posted November 12 Posted November 12 Even the OGHs are claiming it's loud and noisy so they can't hop in here and say it's perfect for radio. Katy Perry debuted that low with radio fodder, that just makes WW even worse. At least Disease is loud and noisy and is not that radio-friendly.
