Remember Emma Roberts' music career?

To date, she only has one studio album which was released to help promote her television series "Unfabulous":

and its spawned two singles with two music music videos

she then went to release one more song within the same year: a standalone christmas single from a rumored christmas album:

and appeared on two soundtracks:

Despite being bad at both she chose the lesser of her two evils and retired from music in 2007, after the end of her TV show:

Quote

Right now I am focusing on movies. I am getting ready to start a new movie this summer so that is taking a lot of my time. I think when I am a little bit older it is definitely something I'd like to pursue."[27] In another interview, she said: "My musical career is indefinitely on hold. I don't like people who become like 'actor slash singer.' I think people should be one or the other because usually you're not going to be great at both. You're going to be better at one, so you might as well stick to the one you're good at. I'm going for acting.

But in 2012, she returned to music and recorded a song under her alter ego "Riley Banks" and threatened to release an album under the name but thankfully she did not:

Were you aware of her year long music career? should she have returned with trashy bops while she was gaining popularity with Scream Queens and American Horror Story? Does the world need another Emma Roberts album? discuss!

This is a mess… the only things we need from her are AHS Coven 3.0 or a Scream Queens reboot tbh

I couldn't catch a ride, I tried so I was walkin'
Raining when you called to tell me
"it's because you're a nepo baby"
I only had a buck (not enough to get a latte triple)
So I sat down at a table and I thought about trans people
I'd have to be a fool to believe that they are equal

But I don't wanna be a nepo baby!
And a transphobe at that, that's so corny!
I try not to hate you but I'll take your money
I'm so stuck up on myself, its funny
When I hang with the LBTGP+ I'm so phony
And I don't wanna be your "mommy"
DaBaby, my favey

I never thought she was interested in or trying for a music career

her character on the show always wrote songs and played guitar (pretty badly but i thought that was kinda the point) and they released the soundtrack album of those songs but i don't think they ever tried to push an official single or record an actual album. Unfabulous was before Hannah Montana when all these shows were purposely making their stars launch music careers

I liked unfabulous as a show and kinda thought her being bad at singing was supposed to add to her just being a regular girl, but then they tried to get her music to take off and then it became apparent that the regular gal singing wasn't an act... :foxaylove2:
