Welovetrouble Posted Monday at 02:17 PM Posted Monday at 02:17 PM What songs or albums do you think would stand the test of time when we look back on this decade in music? Has been highly influential? Will achieve classic status?
glitch Posted Monday at 02:24 PM Posted Monday at 02:24 PM Blinding Lights (even though that came out in 2019) and As It Was
satellites.™ Posted Monday at 02:31 PM Posted Monday at 02:31 PM Watermelon Sugar is such a good ******* song, like ugh, soooo good lol. Dont know why it came to mind so fast.
boodytay Posted Monday at 02:46 PM Posted Monday at 02:46 PM Say So has proven very influential. Blinding Lights hasn't defined anything. 3
TayDuaStan Posted Monday at 03:22 PM Posted Monday at 03:22 PM (edited) Folklore (folk / Aaron Dessner sound / production) & Future Nostalgia (80s retro sound) Edited Monday at 03:23 PM by TayDuaStan 1
LOTF Posted Monday at 04:09 PM Posted Monday at 04:09 PM It's definitely something by Lana. Probably Ocean Blvd
Mr. Duff Posted Monday at 04:14 PM Posted Monday at 04:14 PM Completely forgot Say So Can't believe it's being answered here. Oh well maybe it's only me. Blinding Lights definitely as one of those singles that started the 2020s in a HUGE bang. I also agree with Future Nostalgia, that era will definitely be remembered. Billie Eilish and Olivia Rodrigo as the breakout stars of the decade. Sabrina and Chappell could add here if they sustain to the next era. Taylor Swift domination is obviously going to be one of 2020s defining moments. I was about to just type Folklore but then I remembered oh Midnights era exploded, and then the TVs did exceptionally well, then TTPD's #1 streak, so it's definitely the whole T-Swift momentum. The Kendrick-Drake feud is also a highlight. Fairly recent, but I see it being remembered down the line, and Not Like Us will be a staple song in the future.
NEUTRON Posted Monday at 04:14 PM Posted Monday at 04:14 PM I'm shocked no one stated the obvious: AS IT WAS
Mr. Duff Posted Monday at 04:14 PM Posted Monday at 04:14 PM Oh the question is song or album, I thought like general moments of the decade
zoldyck Posted Monday at 04:15 PM Posted Monday at 04:15 PM Say So may not be the biggest song, but the way copies keep coming. 1
Klein Posted Monday at 04:18 PM Posted Monday at 04:18 PM folklore Future Nostalgia SOUR SOS UVST are probably the best representation of the sound of the 2020s so far.
