nostalgia Posted Monday at 12:46 PM Posted Monday at 12:46 PM (edited) Chappell Roan is undeniably talented, but her recent antics have left fans and the general public wondering if she's letting the hype get to her head. Sure, we love a confident queen, but there's a fine line between confidence and arrogance—and Chappell might be walking right over it. She's had a few questionable outbursts recently, from shading the media to being snappy with fans, which is not the way to secure main pop girl status. If anything, her behavior is taking the spotlight off her art and onto her ego, which is risky when you're still building your fanbase. The general public isn't forgiving of artists who act entitled this early in their career. Instead of taking the feedback constructively, she went on a full rant, accusing the media of being out to get her. This rubbed a lot of fans the wrong way; a pop star at her level should be focused on growth, not petty clapbacks. We've seen this story play out before. Look at Vanessa Carlton—she had "A Thousand Miles" and a golden ticket to the pop world, but her attitude and refusal to play the fame game saw her fade into the background. Katherine Heigl was another one with incredible potential; her arrogance and public slams on her own projects turned her from Hollywood's darling to someone no one wanted to work with. Both of these had everything going for them, but their attitudes and lack of humility ended up sidelining their careers. So, the question is: will Chappell Roan's arrogance jeopardize her rise as a main pop girl and eventually an icon in pop? Edited Tuesday at 12:05 AM by nostalgia
Johnny Jacobs Posted Monday at 12:58 PM Posted Monday at 12:58 PM Hopefully so. Imagine being an insufferable diva in 2024. 3 1
HANZ94 Posted Monday at 12:58 PM Posted Monday at 12:58 PM Ask Christina Aguilera her nasty attitude quickly got up to her and she was way more successful than Chappel Roan 3 3
toy soldier. Posted Monday at 12:59 PM Posted Monday at 12:59 PM She needs to get it together. The comment on the Billboard report is probably the worst so far. How are you mad at Billboard for reporting industry news? She's so talented, but I am not going to lie I am a bit turned off by her 5

Breathe On Moi Posted Monday at 01:15 PM Posted Monday at 01:15 PM tbh I like picturing her tussling around all the time, I just imagine her wanting to fight her assistants just for saying stuff like "you look pretty today"

commander Posted Monday at 01:27 PM Posted Monday at 01:27 PM Her great music preceeds her "problematic" attitude which again there's nothing problematic about an opinionated queer woman. I personally find it refreshing when a person doesn't have to constantly kiss ass or pretend to be a goody-goody for the sake of pleasing everybody. 7
Vroom Vroom Posted Monday at 01:28 PM Posted Monday at 01:28 PM She's not even a diva. She just calls out bull **** within the entertainment industry 4
