Phaunzie Posted Sunday at 11:01 PM Posted Sunday at 11:01 PM I was bored, so I thought let's have a good ole finished FOLK OFFFFFF *Pew pew pew pew * *sirens everywhere* *cash register noise*. So, our first fighter of this symphonic jamberry is Folklore, the cult classic, Midsomer dreams album of global cult leader and all-around girl's girl T-Swizzle *^*. Our next fighter is an old timer, a true blast for the past, and the underdog in this auditory battle for supremacy, Tales of Us, a warped, folky, trans dimensional nature spirits inducing, nocturnal breeze by the underground but sometimes mainstream duo Goldfrapp. Fighters to your positions!!!....... Now ATRL, the power is in your hands to determine who will take the L and who is the Folksy Champion this week. Disclaimer, listen to at least the Disc 1 of BOTH albums before making your decisions. Ok, Time for the Folk OFFFFF to begin. FIGHT!!!!!! 1
Phaunzie Posted Sunday at 11:19 PM Author Posted Sunday at 11:19 PM (edited) Oh my, ATRL has spoken. T-Swizzle is winning but could Goldfrapp pull a comeback *^* ? Introducing the Folksters, a cheerleader group from Michigan. Welcome them to the stage, doing their new routine Folk Me, Folk You to the beat of Neutral Milk Hotel. This is going to be a long night people. Edited Sunday at 11:28 PM by Phaunzie
LittleStarmen Posted Sunday at 11:21 PM Posted Sunday at 11:21 PM I feel insulted and disgusted to even put goldfrapp and T*swift on the same sentence. 1
NordicGuy Posted Sunday at 11:33 PM Posted Sunday at 11:33 PM I mean I love folklore and Taylor's style of writing changed for the better on that album but Tales of Us includes some of my favorite songs ever made. Drew and Clay in particular are definitely in my top 20 songs of all time and Stranger, Thea and Annabel aren't far behind. So Tales of Us all the way, the soundscape of that album is out of this world. 1
shookspeare Posted Sunday at 11:48 PM Posted Sunday at 11:48 PM I voted for folklore because I have an emotional attachment to it but Tales of Us might be my favorite goldfrapp album, I hate that it's so overlooked
LanaDelRey Posted Sunday at 11:56 PM Posted Sunday at 11:56 PM Jo alone is kind of better than Taylor's entire discography 1
Shimenawa Posted Monday at 12:00 AM Posted Monday at 12:00 AM Please do not compare Goldfrapp to T. Swift 1 1
Phaunzie Posted Monday at 12:01 AM Author Posted Monday at 12:01 AM (edited) Oh My God, a sudden Game Changer by Goldfrapp as they are now even in the voting. This is anyone's game at this point. UPDATE!!!!!!!!!!!!: Wooooah, ATRL has suddenly had a change of heart, as TOU is winning in the polls. But still, one should wonder? Could the Swifties gather enough votes to bring Taylord back on top? Another UPDATE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!: Back to Taylor being on top, unfortunately some voters have been fenced in due to their zombification but that shouldn't stop this FOLK OFFFFFFFFF from getting to a conclusion. makeawish Posted Monday at 12:41 AM Posted Monday at 12:41 AM i know and like both of these albums but laurels go to tales of us cos i can remember the songs all the way thru, folklore i find a bit tiring twds the end ("remember the tune to hoax or the lakes" challenge, difficulty level: impossible)
SupremeGoddess Posted Monday at 12:42 AM Posted Monday at 12:42 AM tales of us is everything taylor swift wants and fails to be
