Rhythm Posted Sunday at 07:56 PM Posted Sunday at 07:56 PM Jay-Z this, Jay-Z that. Can that man even afford a can of Pepsi at this point, considering every red cent he has is apparently spent on Beyoncé's career? 13

You also want to run down the list of AoTY recipients that didn't write their own material for this award? Like Whitney (an ACTUAL compilation by the way) Celine? Where is the logic? Whitney and Celine don't mislead their audiences about writing their songs / being conceptual masterminds though - I don't think Beyoncé should be rewarded for ripping songwriters off and taking half of their publishing income. That's my honest opinion, which I am entitled to. 1 1
Pheromosa Posted Sunday at 10:15 PM Posted Sunday at 10:15 PM "songwritters" A lot of you are SO stupid and don't even know it. Don't worry, I am here to tell you. 3

Well, they're in luck since Cowboy Carter has fewer percentage contributions than Taylor has with TTPD... 3

Songwriting this songwriter that... Why didn't SZA win last year, she had a great album with gigantic success? Why didn't Kendrick win against Taylor? You can rewrite history and throw cheap shade and she can keep losing that award in particular but in bigger ways she'll always win. Never has it been whispered or implied that an artist deserves that award as much as Beyoncé in the last 2 decades and that speaks volume. The run from ST-Lem-Ren-CC also speaks for itself. I don't see why this thread was needed but it's good that this veteran is still so current to cause so much discourse. lacking of self·written possibility is the most harmful thing for an artist, so what are you talking about? If you think bringing a lot of writers and credits to make songs can win AOTY then why didn't BTS get nominated? stop finding excuses for Beyonce, all her wants is being famous as a god so she would only bring a lot of RNB awards to keep herself though 1 1 1

The sales of S.O.S are far less than Midnights. Besides, Taylor Swift earned the biggest rockstar year in her career so how about winning AOTY through Midnights? Beyhive better go to buy more Cowboy Carter copies to help Beyonce got more attention in general fields voting instead of speaking a bunch of shits naming which album has fewer writers, is it relative to Beyonce with 51 songwriters? 1 1
Great808 Posted Monday at 04:45 AM Posted Monday at 04:45 AM This year is going to be the most competitive year in a while and honestly won't be surprised if she finally gets it. Not necessarily deserved but more of a legacy award. For what it's worth CC and TTPD are definitely the least deserving of the noms.
king_queen Posted Monday at 05:02 AM Posted Monday at 05:02 AM This whole AOTY is turning into "Beyoncé hasn't had a solo #1 in x years" and whenever she finally does win, y'all will still be miserable *******. And if she never wins, she'll still be Beyoncé. Forever seethe 5
TROPICUM Posted Monday at 05:36 AM Posted Monday at 05:36 AM songwriters/credits are not that big of a deal imo the 2 times she had the most likelihood in winning she went up against the best selling album ever (25) and the album with the biggest hit of the decade (Harry's House) now, she isn't particularly going against anyone who has had a record-setting… anything (aside from taylor but her just winning last year makes it extremely unlikely for a follow-up win). the Grammys are so unreliable that predicting a winner is impossible, but out of the nominees, you'd rather be Beyonce. Spoiler there are also deeper issues in her not winning AOTY yet, and mostly with Renaissance. that year although Harry did have the biggest song and probably of the last 5 years, the narrative beyonce had was just bigger. the prediction odds literally gave her a 88% chance of winning AOTY that year, yet this year i still predict she will win it, but the voting committee is filled with old white men, so take that as you will 2
Klein Posted Monday at 07:31 AM Posted Monday at 07:31 AM (edited) Honestly, if Renaissance didn't win against Harry Styles, I'm having a hard time believing that Cowboy Carter could win the coveted AOTY. It's less successful, less acclaimed, less popular/talked about, and up against much stronger competitors. The number of collaborators has very little to do with CC's chances of winning. Burn Posted Monday at 10:10 AM Posted Monday at 10:10 AM Why is there only a "Why Beyoncé won't win AOTY" thread and not a "Why Sabrina won't win AOTY" or "Why Charli won't win AOTY"? All nominees have the same chance as each other to win the award as will be decided by the voters. Who says Beyoncé has a better chance of winning it to prompt this thread? Surely if she's so blatantly unworthy it wouldn't even be a question, so it's curious that some of you are in such a tizzy over it. Rather transparent, wouldn't you say? Besides, most of the Hive don't even expect her to win, most of us pretty much stopped expecting it after Lemonade lost. Like hello we've been here several times before and we know how the story goes. Yall are just telling on yourselves and making it look like you have a reason to be worried.
Mikeymoonshine Posted Monday at 10:17 AM Posted Monday at 10:17 AM Watch it be Jacob Collier for that awful panned album just cos the voters like him or whatever.
