+ everyone can see right through the guilt tripping and the supposed "purpose" all stemming from her gigantic ego after years of being fed hyperbolic praises

And all these people contributed masterfully and with mutual respect for each other to a 12/10 album. Now what.

They changed the rules and you need to have contributed at on 20% of the album to get the nomination, but of course a Little Monster from Twitter would use the rules from 2011.

What does this have to do with anything? Not saying this should disqualify an album, but CC just isn't that great.

I mean there's more than one cover, there's samples. Anyone actually outraged or surprised by this shouldn't be speaking on the quality of music cause clearly they don't know enough

Samples can completely change a song, not sure why you consider it lesser than writing a song from scratch.

The cost of manufacturing 51 Grammy trophies isn't conducive

She doesn't deserve it this time so maybe that means she will finally get it since she's deserved to win and lost at least twice. :gaycat1:

I like CC I just don't think it's AOTY like Renne and Lemonade were for me.

Maybe taylor could use some new writers, she's been dropping the same album for 4 years now. But of course her ego (and her greediness) won't allow her to work with different people. She's probably already mad she has to split the royalties with Jack Antonoff :rip:

I think most of them are from the samples

From the Grammys own website, you can see that CC has pretty much equal numbers of nominated writers/producers/Engeneers as Sabrinas or Taylor's album:

it has less

wrong, first off this is ALBUM OF THE YEAR and not SONG OF THE YEAR (which is hard to get, not everybody has that to their credits):fan:

AOTY doesn't just reward the artists and songwriters but

Quote

Award to Artist(s) and to Featured Artist(s), Songwriter(s) of new material, Producer(s), Recording Engineer(s), Mixer(s) and Mastering Engineer(s) credited with 20% or more playing time of the album.)

and per Grammy website, here the number of people who would be awarded if the album wins AOTY:

The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess: 4 (includes 2 songwriters)

Djesse Vol. 4: 5 (includes 1 songwriter)

New Blue Sun: 6 (includes 4 songwriters)

HIT ME HARD AND SOFT: 8 (includes 2 songwriters)

BRAT: 10 (includes 5 songwriters)

Cowboy Carter: 13 (includes 7 songwriters)

Short n Sweet: 15 (includes 7 songwriters)

The Tortured Poets Department: 17 (includes 3 songwriters)

Music is all about collaboration. A lot of samples and music can be better with different types of people involved.

How does Andre's instrumental album have songwriters? :skull:

CC is basically a compilation album at this point. If her team didn't force songwriters to give up 50% of their publishing to her (despite her having no involvement in the writing process) in order to be included on her projects, she would be ineligible. She's a brilliant singer and entertainer, but compared to some of the actual songwriters she's up against, she doesn't deserve this specific accolade.
