Who said that?

Reviews and fans alike. Don't play dumb *cue the jokes about my username*

I mean that's literally what the topic of this thread is about lmao. Meanwhile there are other less famous black artists who have been doing these genres forever. I wonder why Beyonce gets to get all the credit and is credited as the end and be all when she's far from that.

Beyoncé knows that better than anyone and that is why the whole premise of these albums are making it about those who came before her more than herself.

Even after the Grammy nominations this weekend she didn't make it about herself, instead congratulating Linda Martell on her nomination.

Her whole speech when she accepted a Grammy for Renaissance was about thanking ballroom and queer culture. On Break My Soul she shouted out an endless list of black female artists from the past and present.

Have you even listened to the music because if you did you'd see how she gave a platform to less famous black artists, such as Linda herself, Tanner Adell, Willie Jones, Shaboozey and others. As well as legends like Dolly Parton and Willie Nelson. If she can make a country album with the blessing of true country greats, I'm not sure why you think you have more right to say it's wrong.

Anyway, the only people who are going to take this course and those who want to pay for it. If they want to spend their money on it, good for them.

And what does that have to do with how the media portrays her which was my point all along? Not sure why you mention all this irrelevant information.

I mean tea? Taylor's impact begins and ends with numbers. If she didn't exist, the music landscape would remain exactly the same.

No I'm talking about "aaahh Queen Beyonce thank you for reclaiming the roots of dance and country music. We owe you forever. AAahh what would we do without you"

But how is that a bad thing if people feel empowered by Beyonces music and art? Idgi.

+ she is indeed breaking down barriers in a genre that has been systematically shutting out black artists. Thats also a fact.

Because shes topping Country-specific Charts with her output (Texas Hold Em AND Cowboy Carter)?

Point me to another black female doing that

She topped them bc she's Beyonce lol Same as Gaga having the biggest selling jazz album of all time or whatever. Ofc she does, by default of having a big mainstream fanbase

You said she receives credit for being the be all and end all. The information I shared shows how she gives credit to others.

Beyoncé doesn't have any kind of hold over the media forcing them to portray her a certain way. She just drops her music and goes. She doesn't even engage with mainstream media much so if you have this queen-like image of her that's on you and what you choose to believe from what others say about her.

But didnt you just complain how it's unfair she gets all the praise when there are other black Country artists who have been in the industry, however when I point out no other black female artist has achieved what she's achieved in the Country Genre and thus the praise is understandable?

Like, are u mad shes successful?

That's...not true.  She's inspired so many new artists....Olivia Rodrigo, Sabrina Carpenter, Phoebe Bridgers, Conan Gray, Gracie Abrams, Maisie Peters, Kelsea Ballerini, and more.  Additionally, she was instrumental in launching Jack Antonoff's career.  She also is the reason that Ticketmaster's antics went to congress.  More:

But regardless, Beyonce and Taylor are two very different artists and I don't understand the need to compare them.
